We were disappointed when we opened the package and the front (plastic front piece and light bar) fell off in our hands. Both screws to keep those pieces attached to the rest of the unit were missing - not in the box - just not there. Those pieces will not stay on without screws and we don't have any (very tiny ones!), nor do we want to try to find and pay for any. We will be returning the unit. It is also very cheaply made. We suspect that, if you were to twist the turnscrew too tightly to attach it to a metal rod, it might break off. Very disappointing product.

IT doesn't light AT ALL! Changed batteries 3 times and can't get it to light at all. Wanted to send it back but I bought it in Oct 2016 and didn't open it to give it a try until the winter died out and grilling weather began. No luck...it doesn't work. Now it's too late to send it back and we are disappointed in the product. Learned a lesson.....never wait to try out a product bought online.

Keep looking
Three stars is generous. This is bulky, not waterproof (though intended to go on the handle of a grill), and the adjustment bolt has started to corrode within two months. Surprisingly it still lights after two years, unsurprisingly it flops limply so you can't aim it. Staying with three stars. Looking for a different brand now.

Complete piece of junk!! Very unhappy, great idea terrible execution the whole mount setup feels a bit backwards and even when I went with recommended line up it broke just putting it on and I had already read to tighten softly. Not worth your money, get something with a solid base.
