I assume it would work great on pumps and levers just as well. very low odor, it is clear, and a little goes a long way. comes in 6oz spray bottle, more than enough to last a while if you are an occasional shooter or weekend warrior. the bottles are small enough to fit inside a molle pouch to strap to the side of your more tackle style range bags. so simple, just spray evenly- light coating. let it sit for a bout a minute to two minutes, and while clean with your brass brushes and other cleaning tools as preferred, wipe clean with microfiber cloth. apply thin layer of Breakthrough high purity oil, let sit 15 minutes to soak in, (grab a cold drink, relax, watch your local sports team) then come back, and reassemble your piece. test the action, as you do and wha-la.

The spray feature is nice. Works on residue dirt. The best cleaning solution I have ever used. This is the only gun cleaner I will use in the future.

Back in 2021 I bought this solvent, along with the battle born grease, copper remover, and battle born gun oil. Have been using only these products since then, until I finally ran out of the oil and solvent a couple of days ago. I can't really say I've noticed any difference in my usual gun cleaning processes. Nor has it extended reliability in any of my weapons. Works about as well as any of the other reputable cleaners and lubes. Lucas, slip2000, hoppes, breakfree, etc. What I can appreciate is the lack of odor. So can my wife! I used to have to clean my guns in the garage or on the patio. Now I can sit next to the Mrs. and binge some Netflix while cleaning my guns indoors again. So maybe that's worth the extra cost. I will admit the grease does better than some of the other thinner greases out there, but that's to be expected. Also the containers that these products come in are subpar to say the least. The copper remover, battle born gun oil, and cleaning solvent leaked from their containers. I keep them in a range bag that I take with me 2 or 3 times a month to train. I really only clean my guns if necessary or if I'm bored at the house. One day after a range trip I had realized the bottom of my bag was oily. Peeked inside only to find the needle applicator had sheared off, and both cleaners were leaking from the sprayers where the nozzle pushes into the rest of the spraying mechanism. Lost about a third of each. Probably would still have some left if that never happened. I replaced the bottles with some smaller 2oz spray bottles I had lying around. Haven't leaked since. Conclusions: if odorless is important then I'd recommend these products with the expectations of replacing the containers or just leaving the products on the shelf until needed. Otherwise these products are run of the mill and most other products from other companies will suffice. Now that I've finished these products I'm going back to my preferred brand. Corrosionx oil and grease. Started using them for my boating, towing, and machining equipment and loved how well it preserved from rust and started using it on my guns instead of hoppes 9. Had an itch to try something new. Cause let's face it we buy products 95% cause of marketing. And after 3 yrs I'm underwhelmed. I'm no john wick but I like stuff that "just works". No gimmicks needed. That's what I find in corrosionx.

In my opinion this is a fantastic product. I just used it to clean up after today's range activities and had some extremely dirty firearms. I put it to the test on a Glock and a few other semi-auto handguns, a couple of revolvers, 2 AR-15's and a few other assorted rifles and it worked as well as the stinky stuff without running my wife out of the house. I check each barrel with a bore light after cleaning and they all looked great. After using the breakthrough, I took a few of the guns and also put through some Hoppe's #9. The subsequent patches came through nice and white, so the Hoppe's wasn't able to get anything the Breakthrough left. Whatever other benefits they claim, from my personal testing it does just as well as the other stuff, without the toxic smell. Unless I discover some negative later, I don't intend to use anything else from now on.
