Does the job
This has a USB power supply- so is a compact item.I used it on arrival and found it worked perfectly identifying the leak.It is a strip of LED’s one one side but this doesn't effect its use.One other review says it won’t fit down the neck of an alto but it does from the other end of course!!!!I have a baritone sax and can put it in through keys higher up or lower down the instrument rather than from the end so you don’t have to disassemble the instrument.Extremely good value compared to other versions

Works well
I'm very happy with this item. It arrived quickly, was very reasonably priced - so nothing to lose you might say. It's easy enough to use and bright. Helped me identify a leak on my sax. I'd recommend

I doubt the manufacturer has ever tested this on a saxophone
There are two issue with this item. First, it has lights on just one side of the LED tape. If they do not line up with the keyholes, it is difficult to see if they are leaking. The light should be dispersed through 360 degree. Second, the tape is 15 mm wide which is too large to fit down the crook of a tenor saxophone, let alone an alto. In order to test the octave key hole which is situated in the crook and often the most likely key to leak, you need to insert the leak light from the mouthpiece end and while connected to the main body of the saxophone. You cannot. Sadly, most of the other devices on Amazon seem to be the same. Buy cheap, buy twice.
