Astrology. The Library of Esoterica

I bought this for someone as a gift. I am not into astronomy, but even so I almost kept it for myself because it is so beautiful.

What this book lacks in text, it makes up for in Illustrations. The book itself is very surface level as far as facts go, but very rich in terms of visuals and symbolism. This book would be a good introduction to anyone new to the subject of Astrology, as it doesnt overwhelm the reader with too much information. This is definately more of an Art book than an educational book about astrology, but overall a very pleasent read.

This is the most beautiful book I have ever purchased. It is extremely informative while also looking like a beautiful coffee table book.

I am in complete awe of this book and cannot put it down! I had my eye on this for a while and finally bit the bullet and purchased it not knowing what to expect. I am so happy that I did - this is going to stay in my collection until my passing! I am drawn to the breathtaking art that is showcased in the pages of this masterpiece of a book - not only that but the actual text in this book is so far from ordinary! I own many, many books on the topic of astrology and have read even more, but this book contains knowledge that somehow all the other books seem to lack. This book captures the ethereal and timeless nature of astrology. If I were to own only one book on astrology, THIS would be my choice. Not only is the book big, it is very thick - 520 pages to be exact, in a hardcover frame. My book came wrapped in plastic and in perfect condition. I am excited to read the other book in this Taschen collection. Bravo! Well done!

I have tens of art books but this collection offers a breathtaking design/selection of iconographics at such a low price. I have 4 books (tarot, magic plants and witches) and they are simply my favourite!

Exactly what I was looking for! I wanted something different for a coffee table book. The photos do not disappoint. It’s fun to flip through and see the different interpretations of each zodiac sign. Brief summaries of astrology origins and it’s role in history. Like previous reviews mentioned, this is not an explanation of zodiac signs. Most are only one page long with basic facts of common characteristics. This would be a great gift for anyone who enjoys Astrology.
