Will this fit a germ guardian ac4825e?

When you bring this up on the Amazon website each product has a list of all the machines the filter fits. If your application isn't listed, measure your filters and check measurements on other filters you come across on line with Amazon. This is called matching up a product to fit your application. I do it often when I can't find what I need. Good luck.

What's the difference between the blue and purple filters?

The info on my machine located on a strip at the bottom of the filter compartment shows the following:yellow odor;green allergy;purple allergy plus;orange smoke;blue total which is the HAPF30AT

will this fit a HAPF30 ?

From what I was able to find online, yes, it is compatible and will fit.

I have a tower filter - I know the carbon boosters go on the front but how do you make them stay on the front? When I put the cover on they just fall.

"Have the air purifier turn on and put the carbon boosters on the front, it will have the sucking power to keep the carbon boosters stay on." Great answer! This really head me scratching my head for there was no Velcro that come with my order. I used the method in quotations as described by Derrick S Poon and it worked perfectly. I thought, what happens when you turn it off, is the prefilter going to flop down ? It did not and stayed in place. I have a Bonaire tower purifier. Thanks Derrick S Poon !
