American Apparel Women's The-Disco Pant

I really love these pants! Pictures don’t do them justice but I tried to take photos that would show you how electric blue it is and how stretchy it is. I have a large bottom. Hips measure 48” around bc my butt be poking!! I’m currently on my weight loss journey so I bought these knowing I would test the limits. These pics were taken when I weighed 220lbs. I’m 5’7”. When I wore them to the event I bought them for I ended up weighing 215lbs that night. They stretch A LOT but I think my measurement is basically the last point by which they are wearable. They are not sheer at all. The night I wore them my period panties did not show a line or anything! They are high waisted and go up very far and imo provided stomach support. You can kind of see it doing that in my photos and I do have a gut(runs in my family*thanks dad!!!*) I haven’t measured my waist yet but the button was fighting for dear life until I hit 215lbs. I’m currently at 211 and they continue to fit better. I highly recommend them. I got stopped a lot and asked where to get them and received many compliments that night. Can’t wait to wear them again. I’d eventually like to buy the other colors some day. Anyway, I hope that helps.

Love the fit even though I could of sized down to a large- the waist still showed the high waist cinch and only issue is I’m 5’3” so a little longer crotch area to hike up and hem under pant length but really cute and fab AA pants! Grease pants lol

At most these are worth $40, a bit pricy for being made overseas. Nice quality for cheaper material though. I’m 110lbs, 5’4 with wide hips and skinny legs. I ordered XS after reading reviews but if I was to gain one pound they would not fit. They are beyond snug on the hips, thighs, and waist… but loose around the ankles. I might return and get a small. If you don’t have wide hips you’ll be fine. I do love them though, they are super cute! I’ll probably get a small and have the ankles tailored. I love that they don’t press my butt in even though they are tight, they shape it nice. They look expensive on but off you can tell it’s a cheaper material.

I bought these because I saw someone wearing them at the roller skate rink and I had to have them! I think they fit great. I have to wiggle them up like tights, but once they are up and on they feel great. The material is thick enough that it doesn’t show undies (thong that is, don’t try spankies. Lol). I know people have said they don’t feel as quality as they have in the past, but since I have nothing to compare to, I think they are great!

I was so excited to find the American Apparel disco pants again that I've loved for so long. These are NOT the same. The waist has no give, the ankles are too loose. The fabric is thinner and unlike the originals which are thick and hold your bod just right, these are uncomfortable as they pinch the waist, don't hold your legs or bum right, and are looser at the ankles. I'm bummed I missed the window to return. I was hopeful these would be like the old ones, but they are woefully inadequate.

I love, Love, LOVE these. I now have them in 3 different colors! The high waist is soooo flattering on short women like me, and they're so well made!

I bought these (my first pair) because I read so many great things about them, but none of my friends had them.I bought size small, black. I'm 5'3" and usually wear a women's four or six.These fit well enough. Very high waisted, so that was nice. But the back pockets were not great; they were barely big enough for my small phone, and the shape & placement were not attractive. These were returned as soon as possible because they made my backside SO FLAT.Sure, my legs looked shiny and slim, but bending over was an optical illusion because my glutes were non-existent. For what it's worth, my derriere has never been questioned. It's not excessive in size, but never once seemed flat. These pants brought my butt down to a zero percent grade. It wasn't just the visual though. I've never taped my butt down so I can't compare, but now I think I know what an effective minimizer feels like.Definitely an interesting pant.

Recommend one size up. If you are normally a large buy the XL. Tight fit in the calves.

Look great on and the cut and fit are perfect. The pant fit of a couple of years ago where poor but this seems to have been sorted.
