Welcome Back Whedon
We have been buying Whedon shower heads for many years, repeatedly, because we have moved a lot and have always left our shower head behind. This Whedon product USP 29C is made in the USA and we try to buy Made in USA products whenever we can. This particular model USP 29C is replacing the dreadful piece of junk that came with our new home and it is like the greatest improvement we have made thus far.Quality is top notch, plus, in the past, the owner of the company personally responded to and resolved any questions we had regarding a particular factor we were searching for with our shower. He was great. The product is Great. Made in the U.S.A!!!

Decent product
I like these simple, solid, low flow heads. They give a forceful shower given the meagre flow, and they are simple and reliable. I would give fine points is they were brass with no plastic parts to wear out, bit in addition to some washers (perfectly expected) the flow restriction mechanism is a plastic net shape thing and ball. I had an older version of this product whose flow has decreased and it appears that these parts had deteriorated.

Compared to 1.5gpm USB4C and 2.5gpm DS2CB from Whedon, modification for trickle flow increase.
With the drought in CA I figured I wanted to do all I could to avoid wasting water. So I tried out three Whedon showerheads with different flow rates, all with shutoff valves:First I tried the 2.5gpm DS2CB. It was the largest physically, and had the highest quality overall. Its flowrate was right as advertised, and it provided more of a tightly focused spray, only spreading out a little bit, perhaps 7 degree spread from center. The larger head and larger everything made it slightly easier to adjust and use. The trickle valve worked the best, letting out just enough to keep it warm. Definitely the way to go if you want max flow rate. But I felt like it was too much flow and I could get away with less, so I tried:1.5gpm USB4C. This was the smallest physically, and there were some minor compromises in adjustability for that size, but nothing that was a problem. It had a wider pattern, approx 12 degrees from center, 25 degrees overall? I didn't like this wider pattern with such a low flow, and wanted more flow. Also the trickle valve caused the spray to shoot out sideways and randomly through the smaller holes, which made it harder to use it for rinsing a shaver. So that brought me to this one, the 1.9gpm USP29C model. The weight and quality was midway between the 2.5 and 1.5 models, and overall I thought the flow was just right for me. It was also a wider flow approx 12 degrees from center, but I can live with that even though I prefer a more narrow jet. The dealkiller was that the trickle valve reduced the water so much that it got cold when I next engaged the flow. I solved that problem with a little hack: I took some 24 gauge buss wire (basically any 24 gauge wire will do, but buss wire is tinned to match the color of this head), and wrapped it tightly around the trickle valve lever end twice, and secured with lots of twists of the ends together. This prevented the trickle valve from sliding quite all the way into the off position, and enough water flowed that it stayed warm with my new condo recirc plumbing. It also didn't spit all over like the 1.5, so I could use the trickle to rinse my shaver.I had measured all these seeing how much water flowed into a bucket in a minute, and they delivered exactly the advertised flow rates with my new strong flow condo plumbing. They were all a great improvement over the old plastic showerhead that came with the property, where a few of the nipples had broken off after 8 years, and the flow rate was about 5gpm. I should mention that the way I found the Whedon products was through a friend who is a water conservation geologist; it took me years of looking in hardware stores before I found a decent head with an easy to use trickle valve. For me the most important part of all these is the shut off valve. Once you get used to it, it's refreshing not to have to hide from the water while lathering up or shaving.

Nice Head.
I was kinda skeptical given the price but this is a nice shower head. My sons like long showers and I replaced their 2.5 gallon head with this one and I double checked the flow on my softener and it seems to be about 1.9 at 60psi and 1.6 at 40psi. It has a nice spray pattern and "off" button. The finish is holding up very well and I might eventually replace our head when it's due.

I purchased this product in March of 18 to replace an older style of this design. My old one had a very fine spray that came out and would even sting my skin on full flow. This 1.9gpm USP29C model has much bigger droplets and is very comfortable to use. The flow reduction works great to lather down and it keeps the water temperature just right. I would recommend this to anyone. The swivel head and flow adjustment are very easy to move. My bathroom doesn't steam up as much as the old shower head.

Not Plastic
This product is not the cheap plastic version sold in the big box stores. There are two pieces. One allows you to stop the water flow right on the shower head and the other is the actual shower head. Both are solid metal, and if you prefer, you can use the shower head only without the shutoff piece. Nice product!

Whedon Ultra 1.9 GPM
I have tried several low flow shower heads in the past 2 months and this was the winner for me. In comparison to the High Sierra 1.5 gpm, which is a well made, effective low flow head, the spray pattern on the Whedon felt fuller, more even, and satisfying. The bucket test revealed only 1.6 gpm and I have high water pressure! The water droplet size feels just right, not misty at all and doesn't blow the shower curtain around or fog up the mirrors like the Oxygenics brand did. I also tried the Whedon Ultra Saver 1.5 gpm, bucket test showed only 1.2 gpm, it did the job, rinsed my shoulder length hair with no problem but I wanted a more forceful shower feel. I tried the Whedon original 2.5 gpm that I tested at 1.9 gpm, using the included low pressure disk (the one it comes installed with has smaller holes and feels too misty for my liking) it provided a nice strong flow but felt like more water than necessary was being used The Ultra 1.9 gpm saver shower seems to be the sweet spot. The Delta 1 spray 1.5 gpm didn't provide enough force, the Bricor Eco Fit leaked and fogged up the bathroom. The search is over - made in USA - Thank you Whedon.

AHHH, finally a shower head that is eco friendly and hits you with real water drops rather than a misty spray. Wife and I are enjoying the feel of water on skin again, after an almost identically looking, but wimpy head that we had for years.

Overall, not bad, but...
I would have rated the unit a "Four" has I not tried the High Sierra 1.5 gpm shower head first. I find that the spray is a tad too wide, and it would help if there was a bit more focus to it. Otherwise, the shower head is not bad, and does a pretty good job of creating a "raining" sensation.

Un ahorro no tan perceptible
Se ve demasiado pequeña y lo hace ver feo o raro, no me acostumbro, no funciona con cualquier calentador de paso pero es fácil de regular el flujo de agua. No se siente mucho ahorro de agua realmente
