Grows Fast and Tastes Great
Most Alfalfa is easy to grow and can last several days in the fridge. Rinse regularly for best results.

Love alfalfa sprouts!
As a sprout lover, I was spending WAAAY too much money on sprouts, plus the packaging is terribly wasteful. Now, I grow my own, and it's cool to know that I'm doing good for my family and the planet, and saving a ton of money! You don't need anything fancy: a glass mayo jar that's been through the dishwasher, a thick rubber band, and some sort of netting cut bigger than the mouth. I get garlic in little nets, and double those up so the tiny seeds don't fall through, but water flows easily. Cheesecloth also works. Add seed then add twice enough water to cover. Let sit about 4 hours (if you forget and they stay in longer, it's okay). Pour out water. Sit at an angle so netting faces down.Do your research on what to do after that, 'cause all situations are different. Now, in regards to the seed itself, about a tenth of the seeds don't sprout, but it might be me and not the seed. I may have been leaving the seeds too damp, and that can hinder oxygen intake, from what I've been reading. I've got a new batch starting up, and I'm taking a different tack (a steeper angle, fewer soakings). We'll see. Good luck!

These are actually amazing!
I flamed the broccoli sprouts pretty hard, but only because they were nasty beyond belief. These, on the other hand, are pretty good! You know you want them! Get them. It doesn’t make you a hippie, brother! Those love-beads and sandals, though...

Easy and delicious
These Alfalfa sprouts are a BIG step up from store lettuce. They are light, crunchy and have a nice flavor. Anyone can grow these, I do it as I make my morning coffee and it takes just a quick minute. Sprouting seeds and growing microgreens will give you independence from much of the not so nutrient dense pesticide sprayed produce section at the market.
