Think Ergo Arm Sling Sport – Comfortable, Adjustable Arm Support for Shoulder, Elbow, Rotator Cuff Recovery – Lightweight & Breathable

This is so much more comfortable than my ER-provided sling and very easy to get on and off. Here are the key highlights: 1. The sling material itself is very lightweight and breathable just as advertised. 2. There is no buckle or other component in the back to push on you while you sit or sleep. It's just fabric sewn together and I haven't felt yet. 3. The adjustment strap in the front is Velcro and makes for very quick single-handed on-and-off. That point, in particular, is very important to me because my particular injury allows me to remove the sling when I'll be in a seated position for a while. So I can either quickly loosen the sling and allow my arm to lower into my lap or in just a few more seconds can remove the sling altogether. This is a pretty substantial departure from the buckle based slings which require much greater dexterity and.or two hands. 4. The clean black design looks more professional and goes well with business attire. Though I haven't fully tested this theory, I expect that it won't get stained as easily, either. Overall, I'm very happy with this new sling and plan to wear it for the duration of my recovery. However, it's also important to note that my particular injury allows me more movement in terms of the precise position of my shoulder. If yours is such that a small movement, for example allowing your arm to hang more to the side rather than directly across your chest, then this sling may not provide the stability needed. For me, that flex ability is ideal and allows me greater comfort.

Overall I like the arm sling. It is comfortable considering the circumstances and easy to put on and take off. It seems to be well constructed, but I have only had it for a week so I haven't had a lot of usage so far, and I haven't washed it yet. It is easily adjustable depending on one's comfort and arm/hand needs. Because I am dealing with arthritis and tendinitis issues, I like the thumb slings which help to stabilize one's hand and arm. There are a few things that would be beneficial: 1) The strap that goes around your neck and back twists and there is no way to turn it so the whole strap is straight. This may not bother some people, but it does bother me and is a bit uncomfortable. 2) I am a small person and therefore I have to cinch the strap up considerably, which means I cannot easily reach the velcro strap to release it (which is now resting on my left shoulder blade) when removing the sling. I would be helpful to have a device to release the strap in the front so I do not injure myself more or cause more pain.

Mrs. here. I was using the cotton sling I got in the ER, and after 3 wks wanted a 2nd one to switch out for laundering. I am 5' 6" with relatively long limbs, and I bought the Adult size. It fit okay, but I probably would have done better with an XL adult. The sleeve of the adult goes only slightly past my wrist, and so my arm slides forward in the sleeve too easily (and even using the elastics for the thumb, which only do so much.) It's important to keep the elbow in the "pocket" of the sleeve to get proper support and healing, so arm sliding forward is an issue. Otherwise, this item is working well for me with breathable and light weight and comfort. --- Suggestion to the manufacturer: add a velcro fastener at the wrist end of the sleeve, so the arm can be removed from the sling without having to loosen the neck strap (after working to get it adjusted "just right.) I don't see any reason why this would create an issue with the orthopedic function of the sling, and it would be much more user-friendly. I'm not sure any slings currently tour this as a feature.

After lft.shoulder replacement and the nerve block wore off...I realized just how awful the sling they "gave" me at the hospital was. I knew despite pain meds.,There would be no getting comfortable without replacing it. Some quick research and I hit buy now. With over night delivery... Relief was up there with oxygen I was miserable. Best money spent. Very comfortable, and easy to adjust YOURSELF. Sturdy enough so it doesn't get in your way, but still supports. No trouble adjusting arm angle by pulling or releasing velcro strap. Light as a feather and should wash great. The thumb strap feature was helpful for a day or two, then you get used to adjusting yourself. Very pleased.

This arm sling is comfortable and easy to use. I ordered a medium and it fits perfectly. The padding provides comfort and the sling provides needed stability.

Too dang hard to put on with a hurt arm unless you have help

I recently suffered a shoulder injury (torn rotator cuff). At first I was gonna be all tough about it and not use a sling, but I was just in so much pain by the midday, from the weight of my arm pulling on my shoulder. I bought an adjustable mesh sling at Walgreens that worked “okay,” but the mesh was slippery (kinda like gym shorts fabric) and it was hard to keep my arm in position, plus the strap had a small, movable shoulder pad that was hard to keep in the right spot. This sling is way better. First of all, it looks better— sleek, black, simple. Second of all, the fabric is comfortable and stretchy but holds your arm firmly in place. And finally, the entire strap is comfortably padded and adjusting the strap is super-easy with just one hand. It’s Velcro but holds securely. I bought the regular adult size and it fits me perfectly (I’m 5’5” and women’s size 14).

A few weeks ago I was hit by a pickup truck while riding my bike. After an ambulance ride to the emergency room, I learned that I have a broken left clavicle and broken right some. The sling provided me by the hospital was not very comfortable at all so I went to Amazon and found this sling. In short, it was great. Here are things that especially like about this sling: * Confortable * The checkered design works with all different styles and colors of shirts. Moreover, that design hides dirt well. * The single loop at the end of the sling for the strap to go through and velcro fastener makes it especially easy to put on yourself without help. My hospital issued sling had two loops to put the strap through, making it much more difficult to affix. * it is easy to adjust If I could make it a little better, this is what I would do: * make the strap so that the Velcro could work on both sides. As it is designed today, the strap won't stick if it is twisted in the back. * During the accident my elbow really got banged up leaving my skin raw. While the inside is comfortable to unharmed skin, it was really itchy where my skin was torn up. So I would make it a lot more comfortable in the elbow area.

Easily adjusted using just one hand via good quality Velcro, which make this a very comfortable sling for a broken collarbone.

This sling is very light, breathable and comfortable to use. It is very simple to put on as well and keeps arm & shoulder in one place. Has been ideal to use long term.

Not a bad arm support. But quite tricky to adjust yourself if you want your hand high up against your neck, for example if you’ve done with your shoulder.

Very happy with this sling. I’m 6’1 and using the standard adult size to support a badly broken wrist. Much more comfortable than the sling I’d purchased at a local pharmacy.

I bought this collar brace when my son broke his collarbone, and it worked really well. It provided great support and helped keep him comfortable during recovery. The fit was good and it was easy to adjust. Definitely recommend for anyone needing reliable collarbone support.
