Hate to give a bad review, but I need to warn any potential hikers/backpackers out there NOT to buy this. I was really excited upon getting the bag, because for the price, it had a lot of great features, it looked nice and it fit okay (I knew I wasn't getting quality straps or a good frame for the price). However, the bag was breaking before I even used it, and I honestly don't know what anyone would use it for unless they re-inforce all the sewing prior. I'd say maybe I just got a rare bad bag, but I see that I'm not the only one who experienced this... I was planning a big hiking trip and trying to save money where I could (bad idea!). You get what you pay for... or in this case, you don't get anything remotely usable. I wouldn't load more than 5lb in this thing.Pros- price-looks nice-excellent storage-decent comfort for priceCons-completely falling apart at the seams before use (in some cases I could have re-inforced it with thread myself, but one tear was at a thread in a rubber portion used to for the clip and the rubber itself was tearing)-very bad 'frame' (one flimsy bar down center of back),-shoulder straps a bit uncomfortable for long hikes (rough material)-Doubt it would hold 10lb considering that it was falling apart before I used it.

Ok, so I wasn't paid to review this product, and I gave it an excellent test. It failed in all the worst ways. It looks beautiful and it IS light. But the design is so poor I actually had to replace it two days into a two-week trip to Chile. I had several flights, and the small outside mesh pouch ripped after the first flight, forcing me to move all the contents inside. Then the waist strap is almost completely incapable of being extended or retracted, so the weight stayed on my shoulders. And finally the shoulder straps are made of cheap material, and cut into my shoulders and arms so badly I had extensive bruising all across my upper arms. It was SO painful to wear it!! So I bought a new pack in Chile and dumped this one. All-in-all a waste of money.

I wanted to try to replace my old osprey back pack with a new brand. Bad idea. This product literally fell apart within two weeks. Within two weeks the outside pocket zipper fell off, one of the back straps broke off, the inner pocket stiching came unstitched. After that I stoppeed using it. I switched back to osprey. My previous osprey bag lasted 7 years lol. Lessen learned.

I absolutely love this backpack. I bought the backpack for school because I needed something bigger that offered a lot more support for my back and shoulders, due to the back, shoulder, and neck pain I've been experiencing. Because this backpack was designed for hiking, not school, not every aspect is incredibly convenient. HOWEVER, I knew that when I bought it. That being said, I have accepting those small flaws in order to enjoy the great support that this backpack offers. My 2 small complaints would be that the external mesh pocket is not waterproof like the rest of the pack, and that the bladder pocket is very small. These are minor details though. The inside is plenty big enough to fit the laptop without the help of the bladder pocket. If you had a thinner computer (for example, a MacBook) it would probably fit in the bladder pocket. Also, the estimated arrival date was for Wednesday the 9th, but it arrived on Tuesday the 8th, an incredibly pleasant surprise! The waste strap and chest strap are comfortable. I am 5' 3" with a medium frame (size 5 shirt, size 7 pants) and I have to have the straps tightened all the way for them to be effective. So if you are any smaller than me, they probably won't do you much good. The costumer service is very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this seller and this backpack!

Pretty good backpack especially for the price, but "It's all in the details." I really would have liked to have a whistle built into the chest strap like most other backpacks have. It also would have been great to have a loop inside for a water bladder. Adding these two things would have made it a 5 star. Other than that, it's a good backpack: good padding. plenty of room, durable.

Lightweight, well-made, comfortable day pack for casual use. Probably not big enough for a multi-day backpack. I am 5'4 and it fits me fine, easy to adjust and lots of pockets and compartments. Can't wait to try it out camping.

When I initially received the product I was happy and excited since it seemed like everything I was looking for in a hiking backpack for a great deal at $32! Originally $129 ! Product was just like pictured! However, after first use the backpack ripped at the seams and overall quality seems poor! The backpack did keep my items dry through the rainforest of Hana in Maui! See pictures of concerns below!
