Great around the house appliance!
Have never done a Chrome Book before but we wanted to have something for convenience around the house and for travel and shopped for quite a while to find the right combo of features at the right price. We're very happy a couple of months in with this while I wouldn't get it for anything but casual use...I don't know how we lived without it now! I come from Dos/Windows/Android systems and there was and is still a bit of adjustment needed and my guess is ios users would have more of an adjustment. We're very happy with the screen quality and the touch screen functions...just getting to scroll easily is a major plus. Makes a nice bridge between tablets and pc's and I have a real keyboard. The 12 hour battery means I don't even bring my adapter with me most places...and since it is usb C on the charger...I can use a cord on anything to top it up away from home or in the car. I wish the screen would do a full foldover so I could really use this as a tablet...but those seem quite a bit pricier. Streaming video and youtube with a decent connection is just fine but a gamer would want something more. My wife enjoys doing her email and pictures of family and the ease of use and uses this exclusively now. Obviously there are some high end Chrome books and some cheaper ones too...but we had modest demands and got them for a modest price and couldn't be happier with the choice.

I’m a new Acer fan!
Awesome general purpose computer! Impressed with the Chromebook capabilities and general usefulness. Amazing price!! It was bigger than I expected. The track pad feels a bit cheap, but works fine. Super happy with this computer. Way to go Acer! 🏆 this is the first Acer I have purchased and I’m happy with performance.

Larger, high quality screen. Thin, light, Acer
Chromebooks are chromebooks. Not a lot of difference in power or capabilities. The difference is in the fit and finish related features, the hardware. It is my second Acer chromebook, the first was purchased "re-furbished" and is still functional after 6 years. Note that google will support your chromebook with updates for only 4 years or so even after power-washing it. The screen is what sets this machine apart from the chromebook pack. It is larger and much higher quality than other chromebooks that I have and have used. We don't use the touch screen feature.

Suits my needs and is a solid affordable option.
First ACER but not my first Chrome. For my purposes the Chrome format works very well. This will replace an ageing Microsoft based Laptop. I have a desktop unit in my office and this is what I use at home. If you don't mind the versions of work and Docs, and I don't, this is a fast, affordable, and durable option. I used my HP Chrome all through Covid and have built a lot of content with it, it is surprisingly versatile.

Very Good for the Price
I bought this just to tide me over because my MacBook Pro’s keyboard broke. I bought a Chromebook about 5 years ago and they have definitely improved. This Chromebook is very good. Scrolling can sometimes be choppy. The screen is very good. Images are crisp. I don’t do formal testing but I did put it side by side against the HP Omen gaming laptop I bought a year before and they are quite comparable when watching HD videos from YouTube. It starts up quite fast which is expected. I used Microsoft 365 while I had this laptop and it’s probably the only negative for me. I’d rather have it installed. I am very happy with this product but I gave it to my father so he can have a new laptop. I bought another one that is more expensive (a proper laptop) and I’m more satisfied with this Chromebook. No issues here except: I don’t like that they say it’s 2022 when it’s manufactured in 2018 and the updates only last until 2027. Don’t get me wrong. I’d still have bought it because I don’t plan to use it past 2027 anyway. I may buy the 17” version of this Chromebook just to have it for watching videos and browsing. It’s not that much more compared to this version although the 17” one is not touchscreen.

Something's Wrong, But Which Problem Do I Prioritize?
I charged it fully, then set is aside. When I returned days later, the battery was dead, so I plugged in the charger as normal. The screen said that it was low charge, the performance may be lower than normal, use the correct 20W charger. I'M USING THE CHARGER THAT CAME WITH IT. Amazon said call Acer. I called Acer, and ACER TRANSFERRED ME TO A VOICEMAIL THAT IS FULL AND NOT ACCEPTING MESSAGES. I called Amazon again. They said they can't send a replacement, so I'd need to return for refund. I decided to text Acer customer service. They are having me to a power wash on this new chromebook to see if that fixes it. The power wash fixed the charger issue. Now the problem is the touchscreen is not sensitive like an iPad. I sometimes have to hold the screen with one hand and use the index finger of the other hand to touch the screen several times for it to take on input. This will not work for my application. The device will need to be returned for a refund if this can't be fixed. So I'm texting Acer again. They say they can offer a repair services, but I'm thinking that since the device is brand new, this is how all Acer Chromebooks behave.

Loading apps like a breeze
What can I say is I absolutely love it. Easy to understand and set up. Great sound and a great picture like my television. I like streaming movies or using the touch screen for the pattern keeper app for cross stitching

Great Quality
This computer works well for a chrome book. My son loves the touch screen. Makes everything easier.
