I've had these shoes for about a week now and they are so far very comfortable. I expected to have sore feet breaking them in, but that is not the case. I usually wear a 10.5 Wide or 11, but in these a 10.5 was perfect so they must run just a little wide. The leather and stitching quality look very good. There was one part of the leather that seemed to be stained, as when I oiled them it didn't take any. My big complaint is that the insoles were TERRIBLE. There was an oddly shaped elongated bubble of "support" right under the heel that was very uncomfortable. Removing the insole made it better. I bought some flat/thin leather insoles that were a perfect fit and now these shoes are really nice. If they hold up for many summers I will be very happy.

I have had Sperry's for many many years and I love them. they are comfortable for daily wear and just dressy enough for a night out. The fit on my narrow foot (13B) is just perfect.

I usually soak my Mako Topsiders in water then let them dry while wearing, to conform them to my feet. This time however, the top edge of the "transom" of the shoe rubbed my achilles tendon into a blister, which then popped.Comparing these new ones to an older pair, I found the new pair had a higher transom, perhaps 1/4 to 1/2" taller. Somehow, that added height contributed to my blister.I expect the blisters to heal, and the shoes to ultimately be a fine addition to my shoe stable.===============October 2017OK, now I'm on my third pair of these. I've had a moderate product flaw crop up: the thread stitching the upper to the lower has come unthreaded along one side, running from about the heel to about the laces... I'm not sure whether it's a thread failure, or perhaps a hole failure: the thread is attached at the front and the back,and sort of flopping as a loop running parallel to the shoe's length.I do like this model, with its padding and its nice color. I'll plan to wear these as long as possible, and ultimately will replace them with another pair.I love this design: it has padding where I need it, and the Oak color is a favorite of mine. It's a paler brown than the product photos usually show, and it fades over time to a nice beige.----------------------------August 2016, 18 months later... I just received my third pair of these, having worn out the heel (I tend to slap my right heel when I walk)... The rest of the shoes are in fine shape, and are now my "lawn shoes" for mowing, spreading fertilizer, light shoveling, etc...This newest pair are the same design as the just-previous pair. I had worried perhaps they would rub my Achilles again. But NO, they fit just great.Any new pair of Top Siders takes a bit of time to adjust to one's feet, and these were no different. But having wet them once and worn them until dry, they are doing fine.The padding is definitely worth the upcharge compared to the stripped down model.

I got these on sale and was nervous about buying Sperry's after the last two pair I bought my son fell apart and looked sloppy immediately. My kids have to were this type of shoe for school. These have more structure and a bit more padding inside. My son like them much better and I am enjoying that they have held up so far. Really hoping they go on sale again soon so I can grab them for my other son.

Given as a gift. Holds shape and remains comfortable and soft after almost a year.

This boat shoe has been designed and manufactured perfectly. The design is aesthetic and beautiful and proportionate. The leather chosen is just right and the color is exactly as it should be. Overall I am very happy with the purchase.
