Fantastic warm gloves
Some of the best gloves available. Warm. Can replace lambswool liner if it gets worn out. Wrist strap is great - can get something from pocket/phone w/o risking losing the glove. Make sure you keep up w/ waterproofing. Doesn't have to be the Hestra stuff, can be any beeswax waterproofing. I've gotten about 5-6+ years of heavy use out of a pair and I didn't look after them well (leather started to wear out).

Great fit and warmth
Love that the fit is by number size and not s/m/l so fit is better. Great heat protection

Comfy and warm
I'm really pleased with these mittens! I originally had wanted to get the 3 finger mittens but reviews said the lining was a 5 finger glove so I went with the mittens. The lining is super plush and comfortable! I skiied all day in 25-30F temps , actively snowing for half the day, and my hands stayed completely warm and dry the whole time. The wrist straps are super useful when I needed to get things out of my coat and backpack. It comes with a little bit of Hestra's leather cream too which is a nice touch.Sizing isn't the easiest, but they fit perfectly. I have a pair of Hestra leather day gloves in size 7.5 and bought these in an 8 which was the right call.

Warm mitts, minor mitt issues
I have cold hands...even in the summer. Skiing when the temps drop to the teens usually means my hands are icy cold after a couple of runs, even with liner gloves and heat packs in my old Burton Radar mitts. I just wore my brand new Hestra Heli mittens for a week of skiing at Mt. Tremblant in Quebec in early Feb, where the temps dipped to single digits and below. While I would not say that my hands were warm, they were also not freezing cold. I don't generate a lot of body heat and my hands even less, so even with liner gloves and heat packs behind my fingers, my hands felt cold in the Hestra Heli mitts after about 2 hours of skiing, but not painfully so. They are not perfect but I'm pretty happy with them for keeping my hands relatively warm. Now if only I can find heated liners to go in them.I do have 2 issues with these mitts:1. They're partially white! Which means they show dirt easily. My mitts were brand new, and the palms were a bit brownish just from carrying the skis from our condo to the shuttle bus, and then onto the cabriolet lift from base of the pedestrian village to the base of the mountain. Wished the palms weren't so light in color.2. Other reviewers raved about the Hestra handcuffs but I found them overrated and useless. They're not adjustable! Yeah, yeah, they're elastic straps, so if your wrists are bigger than the elastic loops, they'll expand to accommodate your wrists and prevent you from losing your expensive Heli mitts. But I have slim wrists, which meant the nonadjustable handcuffs kept falling off when I'd take the mitts off to adjust my balaclava or goggles and then brought my hands down to my sides a bit too quickly. I'm definitely replacing the Hestra handcuffs with adjustable wrist leashes!

Very warm and comfortable to wear. Using them for skiing and can’t say enough good things about my new mittens. Very highly recommend!
