once upon a time I collected art books then they became a source of income. now they are a pleasure again. I opened the book with amazement and joy!

Always interesting to see how artists design their homes .. sometimes surprising you .. would have liked more views but the book then could have been 3 times the size ..

Such a beautiful coffee table book. I'm really enjoying paging through it and it looks so classy on my coffee table.

Gave it as a gift to fellow artist.

I was expecting a great deal more than just a single picture of an artist or an architect's home (accessible from other sources) with a skimpy and uninteresting caption. As is, this is an expensive vapid coffee table book. Waste of money. I do not recommend.

This is a great book.

The book provides a snapshot of the living spaces of some of the most creative people in recent history. The pics are interesting enough on their own, but the short descriptions of the people's lives are just as if not more interesting. Also, it's quite clear that writers are a rather boring lot when it comes to how they lived. It's the designers, artists, and various other creatives whose spaces are really intriguing.

5/14に注文し、6/7までに届くの予定としながら、届いたのは6/25。国際便なので、時間かかるのはガマンするとして。宛先住所が、町名までしか印字されていなかったのはヒドすぎるンじゃないかな。田舎ならまだいいけど、東京なんでね。郵便局さん、すごく苦労して持ってきてくれたから届いたけれども。アマゾンから日本の住所は町名までじゃ届かないと指導していただきたい。そして日本語版より写真がキレイという事で洋書にしたので、確かに本自体は素敵だけれど。紙封筒に本がそのまま入っていて、角が破れていたので、素敵なご本が汚れてしまっていて。紙の本を取り扱う業者としとてどうなのよ、本当に配送がヒドすぎる。ディスカバーブックス(スウェーデンからきた)で本を買うのはご注意を！本は星5つですよ、紙質がとても良く、日本語版より写真が大きくて、本は日本語版を買うより断然こちらがおすすめです。

This is a Christmas gift for my sister-in-law as I had read about it in the Sunday newspapers. It sounded a very interesting subject and I hope she lets me read it too. It's a big heavy book with a lovely cover and a beautiful quality finish which would grace the coffee table of anyone. Beautiful photographs too.

Great buy. An asset for someone who loves good taste and interion design.
