We bought this to replace a plastic one which broke off our Costco sofa recliner. We love the couch and were so pleased that this fit in perfectly. It was a like for like match, minus the broken one being plastic. We couldn't be happier with the new replacement. It's a high quality metal so it won't break like the original one did. It has screw holes in the same place for easy replacement. There are two on the back and two on the sides to accommodate a number of installation types. I watched the 23 second video someone else had posted and I had mine installed it about two minutes more because I lost a screw. Super easy to install and the handle is very easy to pull without causing pain to my arthritic hands. I may even buy a second to replace the other side since it's so much easier to pull. Only complaint was it not coming with instructions, but nothing Youtube can't help you with. I would still highly recommend buying this item to make all your movie night cuddling that much better.

This is a great replacement for one we had. The old ones we had, the braided steel cables, broke. I thought it would either be big money to fix or very expensive. The couch it was on is pretty worn, so I did not want to spend much on it, since it has maybe a year or so left in its usable life. To be completely honest, I do not write many Amazon reviews; it seems like most products have so many reviews that it does not matter to write one myself. This product, though, was easy to install (I did not even know about the videos), very cheap for a quick fix to the couch, and it was installed, adjusted, and tested on both sides in less than 30 minutes. The only catch is that the adjustment appears to be one-time, meaning do not mess with it unless you are sure of the adjustment you need. I did this on the first one by accident and luckily got it right, but you should install it and have it just not screwed in before you do the adjustment. Overall great value for the money, works well, easy to use, and easy to install, 4 stars for sure!

Didn't need the cable but they are identical to what was on my recliners. I will keep them just in case. These metal pull levers are far more superior to the plastic ones. Easy to install. Work flawlessly. Definitely recommend.

Excellent choice to replace original one which was plastic. Was very surprised to learn this one is metal. Plus the cable that comes with it is adjustable. Works very well!

Worked great! My only complaint is that it came with no instructions. Luckily I found a You Tube video that helped me enough. Still had to spend a lot of time guessing, but it did fit. My couch recline again now, so I am happy.

Where have these been!? If I knew how big of a difference these made I would have swapped them out years ago. We had one of the plastic ones that come with the couch break so I was looking for options and BAM! I found these little dudes. The swap was super easy. I just tipped the recliner upside down, removed the old cable, put the new one in, screwed in the handle and SHAZAM! it's better than brand new! But for real, these are really nice. Buy them, you'll be glad you did.

Confirmed the dimensions as best I could, and it matched by sofa well within acceptable tolerance. It was difficult to measure the exact length of the exposed part of the cable since the cable had snapped and frayed. The ability to adjust the length helped. It was straight forward to install. Now, the recliner works fine. The metal handle is far better than the original. It was a cost-effective way to repair the recliner functionality. I highly recommend this solution. Do remove the handle and cable assembly first and take measurements to confirm the handle assembly properly fits the recliner, the cable is long enough, and the exposed part is within the range.

Fits great for a replacement! Great price. Instructions not included but was able to figure out details from pictures on ad.
