Black Rack Rattling System by Illusion | Rattling Antlers | Rattling Horns | Deer Call | Bone-Core Technology

Let me start off by saying that this is the first time that I ever tried rattling and am quite the novice. That being said, I rattled in at least five nice bucks that I am aware of...one of them was possibly the same buck that I wound up harvesting a few days later. Anyway, I used the Matt Ross of NDA rattle sequence. These were no little fork or spikes that came in to gawk....No Sir, these were Jim-dandy 8 point and 10 point whitetail bucks anyone one of which, 99% of us would be proud to harvest with a bow. My suggestion is that of you're new at rattling, watch your downwind side cause that's where these critters want to get to in order to first scent what's making the commotion, and I got caught with no clear shooting lane a couple of times because I had a poor set up on my stand on certain wind directions. Overall, I feel like I had great success with the Black Rack first time out and it helped me harvest a pretty nice 8 point P&Y buck.

I ordered a Black Rack on Oct 12th this year for MN rifle season. After just 5 rattling sessions over 3 days of hunting, two tines broke off. I reached out to Illusion customer service and I got a replacement 3 days later with no questions asked! Excellent customer service! One of the 3 days of my hunt on public land, I rattled with the Black Rack at 8am. Just 25 minutes later a 4 point buck comes in. Then 10 minutes after the buck came in a doe came in. I was in thick brush and could not get a clean shot. That’s a me problem. The Black Rack worked great and that was even with one of the tines missing.

I hunt whitetail in Johnson city, Texas. Outside Austin, west part of Edwards plateau which has the highest population of whitetail in the nation. I use a 50 pound Montana longbow and sit in a tree about 20 feet in the air. I love these things. I have called in plenty of bucks before and after the rut. I also use their buck call and have learned to call them in pretty well. But even without the call I can usually still get them to come storming in. More mature bucks are skeptical of course but still investigate when they hear them. They are easy to bang together and make a loud sound that imitates bucks fighting. The best part is it’s easy to not smack your fingers when trying to be loud. They are super light and when you want to store them you can put them together and just use tape or a rubber band to keep them tight. I wrap them together and stuff them in my chest harness for climbing my tree and then have holders I’ve set in place so I can set them down after. 100 percent worth buying.

They didnt work for me. But im in georgia. I heard bucks fighting where I live. But even when they fought I never seen another buck run up to the fight. I didnt have any luck with them. They seem like they are well built thou

They work great and are easy to pack in and out of the woods.

I am very impressed with the Black Rack. The sound is so realistic. Before this, I was using a sock with a bunch of whittled sticks inside to mimic a deer fight. It wasn't anything like what you get from the Black Rack. The DIY sock rattle sounded kind of like this: "krrrrrchhhhff krrrrchfff, clack clack, krrrrrrrppppptf, cur cur, clack, fffffph." Obviously, this will never lure in the big game that we're all after. On the other hand, the Black Rack had the exact sound you're expecting from a product of this caliber. The sound of two testosterone jacked bucks going at each other full bore. The kind of sound that would make even the most cautious of bucks let their guard down, come running out of the brush and exposing themselves more than Janet Jackson at a Superbowl concert. Unlike my DIY wood filled sock, the Black Rack gives that deep chocolaty rutty buck sound that you expect. It sounds kind of like this: "Clack! thunk thunk, chic chic chic, clunk, thud thud, clack clack." To the untrained ear, this may sound like many of the other plastic deer antler packages that we've all seen. But to the ear of a mature doe-chasing brainless bag of deer meat, it sounds like Lou Rawls' greatest hits Vol 2. "you'll never find....it'll take the end of all time....." Recommended.

Work good real set of antler is still king but these pack a lot easier

Knight & Hale pack rack is better.
