Having never owned ankle weights, I did a lot of research on them before deciding on these. I'm pre-habbing for a knee replacement and the physical therapist recommended ankle weights, and these were the ones I ordered. I removed 2 of the sand bags for the 3lb recommended weight (each one weighs 1 lb), and once I settled on placement I gave them a try. I love them! The velcro strap is long enough to go completely around and secure them in place with minimal slippage. I read where the bags were hard to pull out, and they are just a little but with a little maneuvering they slipped right out. I then had to move a bag to another slot on each leg, and this time they came out a little easier and I had no issues getting the bag into another slot. All that being said, I think a woman with small ankles may have issues with them slipping around, but maybe with proper bag placement they'd be fine. I have small ankles and was able to place the bags to where they feel good, work well and don't slip around. Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase!

I purchased these for PT and needed weights that are adjustable as my leg heals. These are easy to use. Just open Velcro and remove the individual weight sacs. Fits comfortably. I wore them on bare skin all day. They have a strong hold so if you need something for running, these would hold up. Quality made construction. Very happy with this purchase.

I have a 20lb set of these from Gold's Gym and am afraid to change the weights because, like most of this type of product, the weight sacks are flimsy plastic bags! That is why I came looking for a couple lighter pair, believing I wouldn't find any with fabric, or at least it's be cheaper to get 2 pair that weren't adjustable than 1 that was.After much searching here, and ending in the warehouse section as usual, I had been correct in my assumption, until I clicked on these. I was obviously lucky at the find ($8) as even the individual pairs I was looking at in the warehouse were that much for the weights I wanted.The Price for 10lb adjustable was rather nice, but would be worthless of they had the same issue as the pair I already had. The photos of these made me pretty sure those sacks were fabric, so I took the chance, and I was right.If you take the time to look, and sometimes have patience, the warehouse has some amazing deals. And oddly, I have had to send back far more New items than I ever have "used"(read the descriptions as some items often are missing their assembly hardware), even though I prefer to buy warehouse first, and only New if the deal is better(uncommon) or there just isn't anything in warehouse that I'm looking for.

The individual half pound weights make it easy to increase my physical therapy exercises gradually.The velcro strap is too long.There was nothing inside the box - no packing slip or anything.I received it sooner than the projected delivery date.Overall, satisfied with it so far.
