Overall the unit is reasonably easy to assemble even if you're not handy. Instruction manual clearly explains everything and parts are well illustrated. I would not use the supplied wood glue, get your own instead. The particle board shelves began to bow within 12 hours under DVD load. I expect this to be a problem over time.

we've had this for about 2 months. So far, we are quite happy with it - it wasn't too hard for Mom to put together although Dad did have to do the wall mounting. It has a good capacity (although in retrospect, I should have bought the triple one, but that's my mistake). Looks nice enough for the price and appears to be durable.

On the plus side:It looks good, and it pretty much does what it is designed to do.But there's a lot of negatives. As a previous review stated, if you are using this to store CD's several of them will be hidden behind the front panel sections. Please note these panels are GLUED IN - certainly making it highly possible for these to be knocked off when pulling CD's in and out. The biggest problem is the shelves. They are thin and wobbly, giving the whole unit a very cheap feel. Furthermore even though I assembled the unit very carefully, the peg holes did not line up well, causing some natural warpage to the shelves. This is not worth the money.Well, at least it looks good....

This is by far the best finished "prefab" furniture item I have ever purchased and arrived completely undamaged, another first for me. The particle board is of a very high density and the finish looks like real cherry wood. It took a full morning to assemble. Only gripes are that the instructions need to have more emphasis on a few things (like not using camlocks in the four inner position on the center support less you run short), the front upright cosmetic pieces are just a tad too short (leaving small gaps between them and the top and bottom pieces) and the back panels are a tad too wide and try to overlap each other at the junction.Those complaining of shelf sagging did something wrong during assembly. I have all shelves fully loaded with CDs with no sagging. Using the round plastic inserts at the rear corners of the shelves in key. Pay very careful attention to the directions when assembling!

sturdy product but really only holds 624 cds.Each shelf has 4 cds that go behind the molding and cannot be accessed. if full,it is nearly impossible to get cds out. So i put 2 blank cases on either side of the shelf to act as spacers and added one less cd than full so cds can be removed. this puts 52 cds per shelf not the 57 they say. i can only assume this is the same for all this manufacturers triple and single storages. so take off 5 per shelf. each width has 6 shelves. so a single has 30 less capacity, double 60/ triple 90 less cd storage capacity. count well.was easy to build

Bought this in Cherry a week ago to replace another storage shelf. Uses similar constructing mechanisms to Ikea stuff but I felt the wood quality and finish was a step above. Took 3 hours with the gf putting it together which is longer than a lot of other stuff we've done for the house guest rooms. Looks great. Would definitely buy again or another similar product when I fill this up which won't be too long. Just from materials I feel this e will hold up for a while. I have 324 movies including a few box sets and seasons so pretty good amount of storage. You can fit 4 shelves for movies each side.

Excellent looking product that was very easy to put together with the detailed instructions. I especially liked the easy method used to hang them on the walls securely with the interlocking wood panels instead of screwing them directly. It's much more sturdy and solid hanging method which also makes them very easy to remove and replace when painting the walls etc. Only complaints are minor, as others have stated you lose some space on each of the bookends because of the overhang, I just slipped in an old dvd cases on each end to fill it so all my current blu-rays are visible. Second I wish the shelves were made a little sturdier, you really have to use the clips attached on the back to keep them from sagging in the middle once filled so make sure to line up the back panels when assembling.

purchased from a different vendor several years ago...is an absolute piece of junk.the shelves sag badly when even half full...the center didn't go together properly..and of course could not be returned as it had been assembled.ended up throwing it away...along with the almost $200.00i spent on it.
