Everything you wanted to know about the Women of Marvel but were afraid to ask
The latest in the current run of the Official Handbook Marvel Universe, the Women of Marvel: Celebrating Seven Decades Handbook is a look at just some of the countless female heroes, villians, and supporting cast to be a part of the MU.For the most part, the entries are lifted from the recent OHOTMU hardcovers. However, many include updated material such as a new main illustration and/or new material in the history. There are also some entries taken from the 2010 Handbook updates such as Abigal Brand and the X-Men's Hope Summers. The Handbook does leave out many characters including the MC2 Spider-Girl, Hawkeye of the Young Avengers, and a few members of the Runaways. But like I said, it does act as an introduction to Women in Marvel. This is a decent buy. I would reccommend that you try to get it on Amazon or wherever you can do so at a decent price.

Great compact guide to female Marvel characters.
Would love to see a new updated version maybe including characters such as Blink, Boom Boom, Silk, Spider Gwen, Gwenpool etc., a Kindle edition would be awesome. This version is the most comprehensive to date and I highly recommended it if your interested in female Marvel characters.

Major let down!!!!
It was more of a magazine and less of a comic book! Even had a classic Iron Man short comic inside that shouldn't have been in it! Worst of all, it only had 104 pages and didn't even feature Black Widow in the same art form as pictured on the front cover, so I was not impressed with this book at all!

Women of Marvel: Celebrating Seven Decades
It wasn't exactly what I thought it was going to be. Could have done without the romance comics, but as a historian, I found the book very interesting because it shows exactly how the women of comics have changed with both the times and the art work. I do graphic comic novels and post them at an online site and found the changes in artwork and style very interesting. The series of Women of Marvel is a great one and should be in every comic book lovers collection. While it wasn't what I expected, it was well worth buying and well worth having!!
