How long does it keep food hot? I seem to always get stuck with something that loses heat really quickly.

My 11 year son uses this food jar daily. I heat his soup at 6:00 am and it is still HOT at 12:30. Not warm, but crazy hot.

In case of soup, oatmeal and similar food, it will keep it hot during first 7 hours and warm during next 7 hours. Thermos will keep food cold up to 24 hours. For maximum thermal efficiency, pre-heat or pre-chill food jar prior to use. This can be accomplished by filling the food jar with hot or cold water, attaching the lid and letting it rest for a few minutes. Discard water before packing your food.
