Sainlogic Instant Read Digital Thermometer

I have zero complaints about this little device! I love the chart that is right on the handle. I also really like how quickly it responds.I will tell you that the switch to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit is inside the battery cover. I could not find nor figure out how to make this change and after going through some of the reviews I found a person who was kind enough to inform me of that. Thought I'd share the info.

Only had it for a short time - works good so far when checking chicken and pork loin that I've cooked - we'll see how it continues to do. It is cheaply made - but then again it's not expensive to buy, so I'm happy with what I got.

Works great. Temp registers quickly. Has higher top end temp than many others. Woukd have given 5 stars. Unfortunately, not backlit for night time use. So, bring your flashlight if your lighting is limited.Interesting that some other models which are backlit, do not have as high a temp range. Oh well. I suppose one can't have everything. The magnetic temp chart Almost made up for the lack of the backlight feature. Buuut, not quite. Anyway, have fun. Be well.

I tested this thermometer when I first popped the (unincluded) batteries in, and despite being in ice water, the temperature read wouldn't go down beyond 8 degrees Celsius. That's beyond inaccurate! Good thing I tested it before trying to figure out if my chicken was done. The probe is also very difficult to open and close. Maybe this will get easier with time, but I honestly can't see using a thermometer I can't trust enough for the probe to loosen up (if it ever does).

I don't know what happened to mine but only used it once on it already broke. It gives false temps compared to my other thermometer. It was a one time used and it gave out very disappointed when I was smoking some chicken and it was giving me false temps. They where way off. Let's see if they will send me another one or I would take my money back.

Has worked great for me, always helps me properly cook meat. The switch to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit is inside the battery compartment. It did not switch right away though, but after playing with the small detent button on the side, just to the side of the LCD screen, and holding it for a few seconds I got it to switch over.

The package looked fine when it arrived. The unit never powered up. First I tried a battery from a new package. Second I tried a known good battery out of a working device. The screen never so much as blinked. Thanks to Amazon for making the refund process simple.

Seems to read temp. well. It's a little slower than I hoped. Releasing the probe turns it on. The probe is thin diameter, polished metal which makes it difficult to release from it's clip. It would be nice if they could add a small release lever to pop it out. The clip is part of the plastic and I fear that may wear out over time. I would feel better with a metal clip. Overall it's working OK for the moment.

Actuellement le mienn'indique plus que les degrés Fahreineit pas moyen de le mettre en degré Celsius , vous pouvez venir me le régler je ne suis pas opposé ,en mm temps vous constaterez que c'est la vérité ! Peu cher mais finalement bcp trop cher , je ne m'en sert plus et pourtant je cuits tjrs des sirops de sucre !!! Obligation de racheter un autre ( différent bien sûr ) ce qui fait que j'en possède deux dont le votre qui à dû servir entre 6 et 12 fois ....... ça met CHER la cuisson ! Aucune valeur , petit JOUJOU , je déconseille fortement sauf si on doit s'en servir 3 fois / an ,

Bon produit, par contre au bout de quelques jours impossible de replier la sonde. Heureusement il y a un bouton on/off pour l'éteindre (normalement il s'éteint en pliant la sonde)Mais sinon tres bon produit

J'ai acheté ce thermomètre pour le BBQ et il permet de connaître rapidement la température a cœur de la pièce en cour de cuisson.Il fonctionne bien, il est d'une précision raisonnable. J'en ai pour mon argent.
