Grass Seed Pre-Germination
I saw a video on YouTube that recommended picking these up for grass seed pre-germination. Basically you fill with seed then alternate 12 hour shifts submerging the seed in water in a bucket. These work perfect for it - they hold the seed well, are very sturdy, yet the holes are small enough to keep the seed in and large enough to drain the water well.

It takes a while for grass seed to grow.
I tried them on a 5 gallon bucket and they were a little tight, but they did fit. So I added grass seed without them being attached to the bucket. When it started out, I had to put a little bit of a weight on the bag to hold it down until it was filled with water. Otherwise it would float to the top, and some of it would not be covered with water. The first batch I did it didn’t look like the grass seed had really germinated after three days. But I broke up the ground and put it in on the broke up ground and within about three or four days it started to germinate and it is growing well. I did not have to put any straw or anything else on top of it. I just watered it every day and now it’s filling and very nicely.I am trying a second bag now and I am changing the water almost daily to see if it germinates a little better but I’ve had it going for about five or six days now and I still have not seen where the grass seeds are starting to be growing inside the bag yet.So I’m gonna give it a few more days and then I’ll cut it open and put it in the ground and we’ll see if the germinates a little faster. If it does, I’ll update this review.

Well worth the money
I’m not using this product for paint. I use this product to filter my rain water that I collect in 5 gallon jugs for my plants. These nets are very sturdy easy to put on and the quality is A1. They definitely fit 5 gallon jugs. The elastic is great quality after the fact that they are on 5 gallon buckets in the rain and sun. I have been using this product now for a few months. No complaints!

Not used for straing paint; instead used for germinating grass seed.
I bought this item to use for germinating grass seed and it worked quite well. Appears to be a sturdy fabric and for my purpose I was able to clean it and re-use it. I suppose you could put it over your head and keep bugs away but haven't tried that. So I don't know how well it strains paint.
