Perfect Fit When I Needed It Most — Still Going Strong!
I grabbed these Amazon Basics Cross Rail Roof Racks on a last-minute whim because the set I originally ordered didn’t fit my car. I only planned to use them for a quick weekend trip, but they worked so well and felt so solid that I never took them off.Installation was straightforward, especially after watching the helpful videos — even a roof-rack newbie like me could handle it. The build feels super durable thanks to the aluminum alloy, and the rubber seals really do help keep the wind noise down, making the drive noticeably quieter. When it comes to travelability, these racks perform like champs. Whether it’s a short weekend getaway or a longer road trip, they stay rock solid through all kinds of weather and road conditions. I’ve hauled bikes, camping gear, and bulky bags with zero issues, thanks to the impressive storage capacity and secure fit.And the value for money? Absolutely unbeatable. For such a high-quality, durable, and versatile roof rack set, this is a steal. If you’re looking for a reliable rack that fits a variety of vehicles, offers great storage options, and won’t break the bank, these are definitely worth it.They fit my VW perfectly and have handled everything I’ve thrown at them — all while keeping my cargo safe and my drive comfortable. Highly recommend if you need a quick, sturdy, and quiet roof rack solution that lasts way beyond your weekend trip!

Solo Install a Breeze!
I wanted to see if I could install these on my own. For reference, I’m a middle-aged woman, who is handy, but definitely not in shape! I’m five-two, and with the help of a towel and a step stool, these were super easy to install. The directions are sparse, so I recommend watching a few videos if you are not familiar with the general process of installing cross bars. That’s all I needed in order to understand the basics as a first-timer.The process took me a half hour. I found that a towel draped across the top of my Equinox was a helpful place to set tools. This protected from scratches, but it also made it easy to pull the tools back and forth across the roof when I was switching sides.I haven’t put them to the test yet by hauling gear, but they sure felt sturdy when I was pulling on them!Learn from my mistake: If you realize you put the end caps on too soon (ha!), a flat head screw driver and some gentle tapping from my mallet helped ease them back out without breaking them.

Use 56" to fit 2007 Chevy Suburban
Just installed this today (56") to fit my Xcargo Roof on my 2007 Suburban and all went well. Looks sturdy and grabs so well on the factory roof rack. I will update this review when I return from my travel to fully test this cross bars. Not bad for the price. Here are the photos for your reference if you are on the fence in getting these.Update: 8 July 2025. Travelled 2000 miles and held up. No issues encountered. Make sure to retightened after a few miles to check how it is grabbing on your roof rack. Overall, I'm satisfied and impressed with the quality. Not bad for the price. Make sure you don't overload your cargo box and the capacity of this roof rack.

Solid racks great price
They were easy enough to install, especially with a second person, and they feel really solid. I used them for a roof bag with no issues, even at highway speeds. They look nice, don’t make much noise, and the locks help keep them secure. Just make sure your car has raised side rails with a gap

56" version fits well on BMW X5 E70
Fits well on 2012 BMW X5 (E70), OEM rails.Sticks out only a few inches. Note that 56" overall width includes two plastic pieces, one inch each. So, fictionally it's 54".Another note is they include enough plastic strip to fill between the clamps, not just outside. It's doable to install first, then measure and jump the strip into place.I found end caps hard to push in, so I doubt they will fall out. But, I put a little bit of silicone sealant on the caps before inserting.Fells solid, with only minimal play. Excited to give it a try.

Adequate - will suffice but not great...
No instructions provided, but was able to figure it out without too much trouble. This fit my 2025 Mini Cooper Countryman All4, but the mounting brackets are fairly generic and the fit was not what I had hoped. It will do. For the price I paid and the quick delivery through Amazon, this was acceptable, but if you have time I would try another vendor for this item.

But that noise!
These fit and work as well as any $200.00 racks. I've used them for my canoe, skis/snowboards, Thule cartop carriers, and bikes. Great strength and is lightweight. My only issue is mitigating the wind resonance sound. You will want duct tape to help cover exposed cavities before driving.
