Not the best
I was not impressed by the suction plus many of the rocks in my aquarium where being sucked up and constantly had to stop to get the rocks out. Too much work for something so simple.

Perfect for filling my Brita pitcher
I keep a large Brita pitcher of filtered water in my refrigerator. It is quite heavy and awkward to lift back into its spot after filling at the sink, so I had the inspiration to try a fish tank-type siphon. It worked perfectly (once I looked at the short video to get the hang of it)! It’s so satisfying to have something work just as it should and meet a specific need.

Not the best
The suction comes and goes. Had no complaints when first using this for tank maintenance but sadly on the second time around it partially broke. This siphon leaves big chunks of debris in the tank and only sucks up a little bit of the water leaving me to manually scoop out the rest of the water.

There's a trick to using this siphon: Physics
If you don't know how to build the pressure in the tube to get the water to flow independently, you will probably hate this product. This was how I was taught to do it:1. Siphon/filter end goes in full tank, on a higher surface2. Bulb/drain end goes in sink/pail, on a lower surface3. Squeeze bulb4. Block the drain opening with your palm5. Release bulb (you should see water jumping up through the siphon end6. Repeat until you're able to get the water to flow through the entire tube, at which point it should be flowing on its own7. Keep an eye on the water level8. Lift siphon end up out of the water when you've reached your target water levelWith this trick of physics, this nifty little implement is well worth the price.
