Great quality glove for the price. Leather feels sturdy but broke in faster than expected. Holds its shape well and has a solid pocket. My kid has been using it regularly and it’s holding up great so far. Would definitely buy again.

Great glove for price point and design. Note that the gloves newer than 2025 are widely different for QC. I tried 3 and they were all remarkably distinct. One was thin and had poor lettering. Another acceptably made but with thinner binding and stringing. The one I kept was a bit heavier weight but with great overall build quality and better leather quality. Break in was a few days of catch and seems to be reasonably easy to maintain. Nothing new for R9. The actual glove is a half step worse than prior R9s I’ve had. These are fine gloves for the job of secondary glove or dad glove. No need for heart of the hide. Nice softness, maybe too much. Flexibility is good for a newer glove after break it. Not floppy or squishy like lesser quality gloves. This one should last a long time.

I couldn’t be happier with the Rawlings R9 Series glove. For the price, it really can’t be beat. The leather quality is excellent for this price point, and it needed very little break in time. It’s almost game ready right out of the box. I also really like the look and style, it's modern but still traditional.

La compré para mi hijo de 9 años. Le queda perfecta en su mano. Está manilla su característica es para una categoría juvenil, lo que para un adulto le quedaría un poco chica o muy ajustada. Muy buenos materiales y diseño como se muestra en las imágenes. Se necesita ablandar muy poco. Muy satisfecho con este guante, disfrutaremos ver jugar a mi hijo con su primer guante rawlings modelo R9.

Really nice glove for the price. It's fairly soft leather so should break in very quickly. There are different fits and glove patterns available. I bought a 200 pattern (pocket shape) and a standard size fit (opening for the hand). I've got adult L/XL hands and it fits fine. There are two adjustment holes on the wrist strap so the lacing could re threaded to make the opening for the hand smaller if need be. Fit and pattern types are explained on Rawlings custom glove website page. Overall, I think it's good value for money.
