Solaron Original Bengal Tigers Thick Mink Korean Super Soft Plush King Size Blanket - Blue

The blanket is as soft and thick as it says it is. Love the color detail of the tigers. My only issue is that the king size blanket is only 84" wide. It only hangs down the side a couple of inches on each side. I wish it was slightly bigger, say 90". Then it would give us more material to cover up with at night. The queen and twin size ones we have are wide enough to give you material to cover at night. But it still is an awesome blanket.

What a beautiful design! This is by far, the most luxurious, the softest, thickest, and warmest blanket I have ever had. So well worth the price. I ended up buying 4 different designs because I happen to live in the frozen tundra. Brrrrrrrr!

First I would like to say that this is a well made beautiful soft comfy blanket. I got the three tiger in blue background print and it's gorgeous. There's a lot of fine hair (polyester residue) when you remove it from the plastic bag it comes in. I recommend washing it before use. Second this is made in Vietnam NOT S.Korea as I had expected. Of course I did my research on the company that makes these Solaron brand blankets, the name is Mankyung Corporation. It is makes both Acrylic and Polyester blend blankets and 100% polyester​ blankets. I don't know if both are of comparable quality, but I can say that Solaron made their reputation on the former Acrylic blended blankets. Indeed it stated on their subsidiary's website (called BOOMIN ENTERPRISE) which imports these blankets to the U.S and is based in California, that they are trying switch altogether to 100% polyester due to rising Acrylic fabric cost and difficulty acquiring it. So if you're patient enough to email vendors before purchasing a Solaron blanket about what fabric is used and where it's​ made you might get lucky and find one made in S.Korea with around 70% Acrylic and around 30% Polyester blend. I'm sure they are still making them,, since the new Vietnam factory has not been around long. Those are the original Korean mink blankets that so many people are trying to get their hands on and is tiresomely hard to find in stores. Sadly I couldn't get my hands on one made in Korea and can't compare the quality or both blankets first hand, but as stated on their site, their mission is to, I quote, "reduce the quality difference between Acrylic and Polyester blankets.' That said this blanket is better than so called down blankets in this price range which tend to go flat as a sheet in a couple of washes. I grew up in these mink type blankets, I just didn't know it was called korean mink blanket. All I know is the quality ones last a long time, well into 15-20 years. The secret is wash by hand or cold water , slow cycle, dry with no heat. Pictures are taken on a Ikea Queen Bed and as you can see there is not much overhang left for my KING size Solaron blanket. So if you have a California King size bed it will be kinda small. Width of the King size blanket is approximately 87 inches. Best of luck.

It’s is the thickest & softest blanket I have had in a long time! The bad thing? The only bad thing is that the King size barely covered the top of my King bed! I wish it would hang more! The King size would barely fit perfectly on a Queen bed. I wish California King was on option! I’m keeping it because I love it, even though it doesn’t have the right size needed!

I was looking for a blanket just like this one. This blanket is so pretty. The picture does not do it any justice. It is warm, well made and so beautiful. I would recommend this for sure.
