Great 3.5mm Audio Cable. Outstanding Construction! Almost Fits my Sony MDR-NC200D perfectly.
I purchased this item because the 3.5mm audio cable supplied with my Sony MDR-NC200D noise canceling headphones got damaged. Sony provided a replacement, but I had to wait almost 3 weeks and so I purchased this cable from Amazon. Upon receiving it, the quality of the construction is amazing. The cable is well built and it has dual gold plated connectors, which many higher end headphones feature. Although the ends (part where you grab the cable end) are too fat to fit flush in to the headphone port, it still works without any flaws and the sound quality is great. When I am not using my headphones, I use the cable to listen to my iPhone through my Logitech S715i Portable 30-Pin iPod/iPhone Speaker Dock. Sound works on both channels without issues. I do this so that I don't have to keep having my phone charged when I want to listen to music. So far so good and hopefully unlike the other reviews, let's see if it holds up.PROS:+ Amazing high quality construction+ Great sound+ Gold Plated Tips+ Not expensive+ Thick cord, not fragileNITPICKS:+/- Doesn't fit my MDR-NC200D flush to act as a true replacement for the original headphone cable, but it works.+/- Nothing else to report.

Looked great but....
I actually ordered this cable twice. The first time, the post office had some difficulty getting it to my door it seems. Two weeks after it was shipped, the tracking data showed that the package was being returned to sender as it could not be delivered. Not the sellers fault, but annoying nonetheless. I put in a second order. This time, the package arrived in 2 days (I have prime membership). Great! On first look, the cable looked very high quality. Thick, very thick... it's about the thickness of a typical mouse cable (roughly 3 times thicker than your typical headphone cable). The end fittings looked clean, sharp. I was happy up until I actually used it. The right channel kept cutting out until I bent the cable near the head and held it in a very specific orientation. I tried it in my netbook first, then my ipod, then desktop, all with the same results. So I'm fairly certain it isn't the head design. Which leads me to believe it's the connection between the internal copper wire and the head that's messed up.To be honest, I'm very surprised a cable that from outward appearance is so robustly built to exhibit defects that you'd only expect to see in a cable bought from the $0.99 store. I returned the faulty cable for a refund. I'm considering making a 3rd order and just chalking up the last defective cable to bad luck but I'm hesitant...***************************************************************************************************************************Update - Sept 16, 2011I initially rated this product 1 star, primarily because the one I received was not fully functional. I have to say, I've since completely reversed my rating.A few days after I posted my review, a service agent from Mediabridge contacted me via email. This is the first time a company has ever contacted me on a product issue first and not the other way around. Wow! Jarrod was very courteous, responded promptly to my return emails, and took the initiative to resolve my problem without me ever having to ask. Simply outstanding service. You just don't see that level of service these days. So the replacement cable arrived yesterday and I've been putting it through some rigorous testing. Sound quality is top shelf, noticeably better than my old ones from BestBuy. I'm very happy with the performance of this cable and more so, tremendously happy with quality of service I received. I would not hesitant for a second to purchase another Mediabridge product. Quality equipment, affordably priced, and the best service I've ever experienced. Can't say enough about that last point!

Sturdy cable, very pleased
No complaints here. Used to run a DVD player to a ground loop isolater in the car, and sound was crystal clear. Sheath is sturdy, and stood up well to a 4,000 mile road trip. This is a great cable, specially for the price. The materials and build how things stack up are excellent. Some consumers visualize that thicker cables are has a jump on, so manufacturers constantly encase their cables in a familiar coating of modest plastic insulation designed to figure them look love they are higher quality. This constantly only makes them heavier and slight flexible. Not so by all of the Mediabridge; this cable is attenuate and mean. Even yet the cable is double-shielded, the insulation isn't overly related, so it remains attenuate and pliable. The terminations are also as a matter of fact compact.I'm per it to relate an AirPort Express to a headphone amplifier. Listening at the hand of $190 Ultrasone cans (while walking on a treadmill), I can look no problems by the whole of show quality. I haven't done entire elaborate allegory testing, nonetheless I can't share that there is a cable that would sound significantly transcend at this rate range.A few at variance points to consider:I appreciate the charcoal gray color; it won't fly to look all the worse for wear like those slow on the uptake white cables from distinct manufacturers. Also, the 8' term is unusual. Most manufacturers bound from 6' to 12', nonetheless this term is barely right for my application.Perhaps the best highlight is the stepped-down smaller diameter headquarters of the connectors, which allows it to right insert directed toward the headphone able bodied sailor of portable stylistic allegory without removing its case. This makes it realized for connecting an iPod or smartphone to the active input of a crate stereo.
