WTB Trail Boss TCS Light FR Tire - 27.5 Plus Black, 27.5x3.0

I just got these mounted and am very plased. Super smooth rolling, great traction, and light. There is no self steering like you get with some of the bigger tires coming out...it points straight and holds true. I'm not a big downhill speed guy, and equip my bikes for long distance overland trips, so i cant say if its a great technical tire, but if the rubber compound lasts decently i may have found my One Tire. I set these up tubeless on WTB's Scraper wheels, and the weight savings is impressive...this is my first tubeless setup and it is plug and play. No air leaks at all after initial setup, or at its so slow that i dont notice, and no pinch flats or goathead punctures when i go out west this summer.

Good traction. Performs well at speed, 18-20 psi. Heavy for wall strength. No puncture issues. Tires this volume are tricky in fall weather in VA as pressure can increase 3-4 psi based on climate changes during the day and become pretty bouncy.

Very good wide tires. The tread gives you traction, they don’t seem to have a sticky compound, so they roll nice and fast, very pleased overall. My only complaint is they are a tad bouncy, I run them at 18-19lbs tubeless.

Great tire, I mounted it tubeless easily in minutes as the rear tire on my hardtail mtb and it grips all trails great. If it holds up for the season I will purchase again

Disappointed in the packaging of these tires. I've set these outside in 70 degree weather to allow the rubber to soften, but unfortunately the wrinkles in the tires aren't going away like my other set I'll update this based on overall performance, but the initial review of these is that this must be incredibly old stock or something to be this out of shape.

Tire is nice and wide and has a lot of short nobbies. However, on loose dirt, gravel and rock the width seems to be a drawback as I can't seem to get good traction. Will probably go with a different tire after these wear out.Update: After putting some miles on this tire and wearing the nobs just a bit there is essentially next to zero traction with this tire.The other day I was flying down a narrow single track that I've ridden hundreds of times and the front end just went bye-bye. This was on a hard-pack trail with a layer of powder. Moreover, the rear tire has spun out numerous times going up technical climbs.Never thought a 3.0" tire would suffer from a loss of traction but these tires are practically slicks. Better for street than dirt.Though I will say, the fact my entire left side of my face is a rash is a good conversation starter and I'm sure I'll have some neat scars from the epic crash I had thanks to these tires.

Absolutely love these tires. I bought one to try out as a front tire upgrade on my B+ hardtail. It is a different world than the 3.0 tires that came on my bike. These tires grip and stick to everything and never wash out. Very knobby but fast rolling. Great climbing and downhill. Good puncture resistance. No flats yet and i'm running them with tubes. Very confidence inspiring.

My favorite all around 27.5+ tire. Great grip on all conditions. Fast rolling and light weight. It is a true 3.0" width tire. This is not downhill tire so if you charge hard you and push the front wheel out. But with it's volume to soak up the bumps and wide footprint for massive traction up hills you can't go wrong. Buy a set and ride!
