Product Description High school quarterback Woody Deanne and Nell Bedworth are life long sworn enemies who wake up one day to find themselves in a very strange place: each other's bodies. .com A body-swapping comedy, It's a Boy Girl Thing takes a look at what happens when contentious next door neighbors have to literally live in each other's body for a while. Nell (Samaire Armstrong, Entourage, Dirty Sexy Money) is a studious geek. Woody (Kevin Zegers, Transamerica) is the high school football hero. Though they've known each other their entire lives, the two are happiest pretending the other doesn't exist. Psychoanalysis might conclude that it's because each has aspects that they are trying to subliminate in themselves, but in this farce, which executive-produced by Elton John, the plot is much less deep. It's a Boy Girl Thing has more in common with Rob Schneider's crude body-switch-'em-up The Hot Chick than, say, Tom Hanks' Big (Where his character didn't change sexes, but did grow from a little boy to a grown man overnight). At its best, the film offers a few laughs and some sight gags. At its worst, the characters utter lines such as, "I'm a loser, I'm trouble and I'm stupid. It's basic genetics." Written by Geoff Deane, who fared much better with the clever Kinky Boots, It's a Boy Girl Thing capitalizes on the strength of the lead actors. While Armstrong and Zegers look like they could be old enough to be paying off their student loans, they have the mannerisms and nuances of teenagers down pat. Once they swap bodies and have to work together to get their lives back, they also exhibit wonderful chemistry. So nice, in fact, that for a nanosecond, you almost wish they would never get their old lives back. --Jae-Ha Kim

Good Movie About Acceptance
The movie uses high school as a platform to discuss acceptance of one and other and to celebrate our differences. The story begins with a serious minded high school girl and a start football player who live near each other and are always at odds. They go to a museum and an artifact has them switch bodies. They are then forced to look at life from the others point of view and come to appreciate each other before they are switched back by the artifact. Any movie that causes you to see another person's point of view is worth the watch. Good movie. Thought provoking.

Exceeds the cliche,
Do not let the fact the premise has been done before in one fashion or another nor the backdrop of "yet another teen movie" aspect scare you off from this one. It has a certain charm and the two leads really sell the predicament as honestly as could be expected without getting in the way of the movie needing to happen. It's not a smart, e..g. intellectual script, but its not insulting either. It was really sweet, actually, and I am glad to have watched it.

Definitely One Of the Better Switcharoo Movies
I seen a lot of Switcharo type films. I really liked this movie, it was funny but also heart warming, with a nice rom com story. What I liked about this movie, it took the time to develop the two protagonist in the film. I also like the dynamic between the two characters chemistry.

Just Plain Fun!
Take it for what it is. Comedy/Fantasy - Hate to Love?? If you don't take it seriously and get caught up in the "Oh that's not gonna happen like that" nonsense you will enjoy this. It's just silly fun and has some great laughs in there.

Boy and Girl souls switch bodies, adult humor, not a 7+, should be rated 16+ min for adult content.
Be warned. Though this has similarities to other soul switching movies, It's A Boy Girl Thing really should be rated 16+, or 18+, definitely not 7+; it's not little kid nor family friendly. Not appropriate for kids under 16 nor for families with better values in this parents opinion. It has partial nudity in multiple places, lots of sexual innuendo, foul or descriptive sexual language, and sexual references. There are some lessons learned by characters in this movie but scenes between the best interactions of the main characters are sadly showing other characters in the movie behaving in a very shabby light as people. This is not one of the best movies of the temporary soul switching type.

Another take on the movie 'Vice Versa,' but with a twist! Enjoy!
Another take on the earlier movie 'Vice Versa,' but with a twist. This time instead of father and son trading places, it's two people who are complete opposites, she a studious and somewhat aloof girl and he a sort of 'fun guy' who loves American football, hanging out with friends, listen to rock music and play practical jokes. Will their 'body swap' experience teach them to like each other? you will have to watch it and see.... 5 stars for

Teenagers enjoyed!
Our two teenage daughters enjoyed watching this and I watched it with them. Typical American teen movie but quite funny in places - have seen a lot worse! Lighthearted entertainment. Given four stars as our girls really enjoyed it but if it was just me watching it I'd have given it 3 stars as I found it a little bit predictable.
