i tried to connect a 2.5 craftsman hose to a 1.25 shopvac hose. did not work. the big end fit the end of the craftsman hose, but none of the smaller stepped ends fit the standard 1.25 hose.

I used this to make fittings for my table saw /router and belt sander. I had to order more for my small sanders. all you have to do is cut to fit tool

I purchased this item from home depot previously and the quality was just as good as that one. I like how I can cut the fitting to fit the size of port I need for my wood shop.

Very adaptable. So far it has worked on all my powered shop tools.

I used tape to keep smaller hose from coming off of it.

The diameters of the largest end match exactly the collection outlet from my table saw. So I warmed the adapter in hot water and fit it over the outlet snuggly. The fit is tight , but I secured it with duct tape as well. The other end of the adapter fits nicely into my vacuum hose. All good.

Great idea, simple to use and cost effective, highly recommended for random fittings for your shop vac.
