It's a good product but very spicy . Would not recommend to carry while travelling.

I was initially reluctant to buy this item since it's current rating is 3.8 while I usually buy new items ( bought for first time) with rating well over 4. But my hunch was that perhaps nearly 33 pc who rated it 3 or below were not comfortable with such strong countryside flavour of Maharashtra and may be hailing from other states or those not in the habit of regularly having this/ other items with strong flavour / spice. I don't blame lower rating. But I decided to take a chance and ordered 1/2 doz pack- min economic ordering quantity at Amazon. I prepared the gravy part on stove ( not pouring hot water) and allowed it to boil at low flame for 5-10 min. Wow ! I got a thick liquidy gravy which was to my liking. The flavour of masala used was also to my liking. I added the farsan as final addition to the gravy at the table just before consumption. Fine cut fresh onion too was added at table while having misal. I found the overall taste very yummy that too for a ready to make pack. I missed misal while I away in the US for 6 months. But that time I did not know of this product. Henceforth, whenever I go out of Maharashtra I will keep this in my baggage. But one important suggestion ( if this item were to be internationally sold and to be used by health conscious NRIs) viz. the sodium content at 1960 mg per 70 gm serving size is way too high (and I am afraid) and may qualify it as a junk food and not good for healthy lifestyle more so for 40 plus people with hypertension. Pl cut sodium content to half or even below. Of course, anyone finding it bland or less tasty while eating can add salt or other flavouring agent like pepper from sprinkler to add flavour,

I had bought Suhana instant misal a couple of years ago and it was really delicious, so when I noticed it available again I ordered 6 packets recently. But this time, it was terrible. There was too much of chilly to taste anything else ( and I like theeka food but it was too much). There was barely any usal (Sprouted pulse) and it was mostly stodgy gravy. You also have to use less water than recommended or it will turn out too watery. I do NOT recommend this product.

I loved the concept. Packaging 7/10, Ease of making 8/10, Concept 10/10, Taste 8.5/10.If you are staying away from Mumbai/ Pune and miss the taste, this is the best you can get. I only wish they keep two seperate packets inside the pouch. That will make it better
