UPDATE: Super bummed! I've had the iron a little over 2 months and it suddenly just stopped working. As I said in my original review below, I have the iron on all day, everyday, so I'm used to irons not lasting long, but I really liked this one and had hoped it would last longer than it did. Now I need to decide if I want to get another or try something else. :(ORIGINAL REVIEW: I sew and quilt for a living and have an iron on all day, at least five days a week. I have since learned that I can buy four or five cheap irons for the cost of a "fancy" one, since I usually burn them up within 18 mos. regardless of price. The problem is finding a GOOD cheap iron that does a great job and is a pleasure to work with. I had a Panasonic that I loved, but it finally gave up the ghost and the model is no longer available.I read the reviews for this iron, and you can't beat the price, so I thought I would try it. I've used it for a little over a week now, and LOVE it! It gives nice bursts of steam, doesn't spit, and I really like the finely pointed tip. It does a great job and glides nicely over the fabric. So far I am very pleased. Hopefully this will last awhile, but for the price, you can't go wrong even if it doesn't.

Iron heats up quickly and steam function works well. I like the weight,heavy enough to give nice press but not too heavy.UPDATE: Unfortunately the iron I purchased stopped working in about six months but I am very impressed with the sellers response. Within 24 hours of notifying the seller of the problem I received an email offering a replacement or the option to return the iron. The iron performed beautifully until it stopped working and with such a responsive seller and reasonable price I still feel this is a good purchase.

Nice iron for the money. Lots of steam when you need it and no steam when you don't. He's lots of water and easy to jangle. Irons very well.Wish it had an automatic shut off like my old iron.

This is my first new iron in about 20 years and I was skeptical about it because of the way it looked (my old iron was a flat sheet of metal in the bottom) this is about half of that maybe about 4-5 inches of heating surface. I needed one so I took a chance and ordered it. Let's say I've been pleasantly surprised by the quick heating and fast steam time. It really is a great iron and does above what I was expecting! I'm not a traveller but I don't see how that would be a problem since works great at home too!

I stayed in a hotel room a month ago that had a Viasonic iron. I had not previously heard of the brand. I was impressed by it and decided to order a Viasonic iron from Amazon. I've only used it once, but I find it quite good. As with the hotel model I previously used, the iron gets really hot and produces a good amount of steam -- significantly better than the Black & Decker model I was using up till that point, and better than other Black & Decker and Conair models I've used in the recent past. I also really like the design and feel of the iron. There is something atypical about the shape of the plate that I believe adds to the ease and enjoyment of using this iron.

I didn't like it. Bought because husband chose it. Directions were confusing, probably translated from another language. Amazon is refunding my money. It's all packaged and ready to go, with the Amazon-provided mailing label affixed.Meanwhile I purchased a Panasonic which I'm using and enjoying. It works very well. I especially like the retractable cord. I've been ironing for more than 65 years. I know what I need and like. This one is self-cleaning too.This new one I ordered in the evening. It arrived NEXT DAY as promised!

The iron arrived today and I immediately plugged it in and tried it out. It’s great!! Things I like: It has a very long cord. Sole plate is large and non-stick with plenty of steam holes. There is a slot at the tip to aid in ironing around buttons. It holds LOTS of water and is easy to fill and the clear tank makes it easy to see how much water you have. It heats up very fast. The burst of steam and spray features work very well. The heat selection dial has rubber around the edge making it easy to grip and turn. Best of all - no automatic shut off! I sew so this is important to me. Price is under $25. I have found no negatives to this iron. 😁. Buy it!!!

Reviewing the Iron itself... It works wonderful! I am very satisfied.Regarding the packaging, I was almost going to return, because I believe it was used or refurbished. When I unpackaged the iron there was water drops in the water chamber.Nonetheless, I still kept it. I needed the iron (because I iron everything) and this iron works wonderfully.
