Paints dried up and subpar mold quality.
Mold quality is not great and the paints were dried up, rendering them completely unusable.

This kit is from a 1960s mold and it shows. I like the subject but Airfix really need to update this kit.

Poorly made
A lot of the parts have extra plastic which has to be cut away, but in a couple of places the parts has been distorted so this kit will never look terribly good. A real pity. Generally speaking it seems very difficult to find model kits these days. Maybe everyone has moved on, this no longer appeals. I have found a computer game called Model Builder (in Steam) which simulates a model-building studio and is quite realistic, though obviously no physical model to put on display at the end.
