Easy read.
I like it, very concise for those who want to know the basics of Vincent’s life. Easy read.

Some great insight into VVG's mind
As a "product" it's fine. As a "book;" I'm not thrilled with the introduction. Not a fan of how it's written. My only other "issue" is that there could have been a lot more of Vincent's letter. But if you're a fan of the Man, do buy this book. It will take you places (in Vincent's life/mind) that you probably didn't know about. It will impress you and open open your eyes to his amazing mind.

Five Stars
Truly a great book, as written about a great man.

Missing details....
The letters are presented without any dates!! How can you publish a book of letters with no dates? The letters are strung together with no clear indication of where one letter starts and another begins. You cannot refer the letters to specific times or whereabouts in Van Gogh's life.... A very odd choice by the translator. For admirers of Van Gogh I advise you to choose another publication. There are many better ones.

Good Read
I read this book in college while studying in France. I felt it to be a good gift for my brother whom I exchange letters with.

Avoid this edition
A thin, meager, unfulfilling volume. Look elsewhere.
