Consistent quality; good value for the price

I needed a nice slice of wood for a memorial plaque for a friend. This worked out great. It was nice to wood burn and looked beautiful once urethane.

I have ordered several boxes of these basswood ovals, mostly the medium size. Being an Artist, I appreciate the excellent quality of the wood ~ they come pre-cut and pre-sanded, then individually wrapped. After I apply my paint and/or wood burning techniques, then I seal them, which makes a nice finish. Some of the ovals have the wood knot markings on them, but I think that it adds to their charm! I highly recommend this product!!!!!!!

Some have come with larger dark core spots, I’ve been able to lighten them up with hydrogen peroxide and some sunlight or a UV light so that engraving is legible and even. Needs a light sanding in those cases because the liquid will cause some expansion of the wood fiber. Generally not an issueMost are close to perfect oval, occasionally I’ll get one that’s less rounded but I can still get the job done with an off center hanger.The latest one was really dirty so hopefully they get some compressed air in the future to blow all that saw and workshop dust off before plastic wrapping

I like the fact that I buy, sight unseen, in bulk, and can trust this company. They provide a product that is worth the art I wood burn onto them. This last box I purchased had a couple of smaller than average pieces and they truly out did themselves by providing me with other much larger than normally ordered sizes to compensate me for the little ones. I was extremely pleased. They are quick to ship and I have had no customer service contact because its been unneeded . I have tried their competitors bulk box and only once did I make that mistake, as this company provides an honest product that is far superior.

These wood slices are perfect for my woodburning business. The size is perfect, the cut is smooth, shipping is fast, and the price you can't beat. The wood burns great to get those small details and shading. I also screw in small brackets in the back for hanging and the wood hangs well. The only down side is some do have spotting and markings in the middle. Might not matter for most people but makes it hard to woodburn a portrait with a dark spot in the middle. As an artist I need to hide it as best I can. Another down side is the box usually does come with 2 or 3 smaller slices compared to the others. I don't mind I can still use them and make a great piece of art from it. I will continue to use this company for my small art business.

The first time i ordered a medium batch of these, they were perfect and all around the same size. The second time i ordered they were all different sizes although they were still all marked medium. Some were as small as 5.5 inches all the way up to 10 inches. It almost seemed like i got a variety packed but they were labeled mediums. I then returned and ordered large thinking they would be bigger. These luckily all the same size but WAY too big. Im going to return them and try to order another box of medium and hope theyre the correct sizing as listed .

Its not finished so it couldnt be eaten off of but i doubt thats the intention. It looks great and is very durable

Great product. Used it on a naked cake. It has enough room for fresh flowers. It fits in a 16×16in cake box with space on the side. Need to use anti-slip under the wood tray to avoid sliding while being transported.

This was perfect! Came packaged nicely and great price for what you’re getting!I had to return unfortunately as it was ordered as part of centrepieces for my wedding that got canceled due to covid

Bigger than expected which is a pro! Nice clean cut with tiny dark mark on it. It is pice of wood that I consider close to perfect. Very happy.
