Is anyone using this as a multi-device mouse? In other words, can you quicky switch back and forth between a desktop (wired) and tablet (bluetooth).

With the switch next to it, you can switch connections quickly. I am switching between 2.4 Ghz and bluetooth. I think that you can use the way you want.

Does this mouse have onboard memory? I can't install software on work computer, would like to set macros to FN keys, will it work on my work computer?

I have a wireless version. It absolutely requires its driver to be installed. In fact, my Win 7 box refuses to work at all sometimes (with the trackball) and I need to unplug the transmitter and replug it to get the OS to recognize it. Win 10 has no issue so far. But I do believe that you would need to install the driver for it to work. That said, its the best damn trackball I've ever used.

How well does it work with Ubuntu linux?

Perfect trackball for ubuntu linux after keybinding as a replacement for MSTE. Open a terminal window and type sudo nemo. Edit file usr\share\x11\xorg.config.d\….##elecomhuge.config change: Option "ButtonMapping" "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12" to: Option "ButtonMapping" "1 2 8 4 5 8 9 3 3 10 11 3" fn1,fn2, fn3 buttons are unused. Up and down on the wheel function as forward backward. reboot

i have a macbook pro intel, os catalina 10.15.3, downloaded drivers from elecom. mouse asst. crashes any ideas?
