Sewell Instacom USB to Serial Adapter 2' with Posts (SW-1301), Black

Worked great with the drivers I found on the Internet. The CD was no use since I did not have a CD drive. I wish they had provided a link for I download instead of having ti search online.

Does not work with the default Windows 10 drivers. When the unit arrived, I tested it and it failed to operate correctly. I swapped it with an older sewell serial usb cable and it operated correctly. These new units are junk.

I liked that it worked and came with a mini CD with the drivers. But my laptop doesn't have a disk drive and there was no web address to go get the drivers so I had to use another computer. I guess this is me being whiny but it would have been ideal to have the disk and a web address written on the disk so we could choose.

Worked well with my innovate afr gauge, no I am able to data log with my laptop that has no serial port. This is the same adapter that Innovate sells for probably two to three times the cost.

No driver for this thing for Windows 8. It's fine if your computer is old and running xp or something.

As an engineer, I frequently need to communicate with equipment via a serial port. I have been using Sewell USB to Serial adapters since upgrading from Windows XP because many USB to Serial Adapters don't have Windows 7 or Windows 10 drivers. These always work.

Same cable innovative sells but much cheaper. Had to buy this to log LC-2 via HP Tuners. It worked well.

Not the best RS-232 to USB converter but it does what it's supposed too.WARNING: This is made for specific applications only (mainly ones that don't involve flow control) and may not work on your older devices. That does not make this is a bad product.
