The reason I bought it instead of bumming one off of someone I know is because the cutter still works on copper water lines too so I’m sure to find more use out of it. The reason I got this is I did my own mini split install in my shop. The line set it came with was 15’ and I only needed about 6’. So I cut the two lines and flared them with this tool. The thing I thought was awesome was the attachment I’m holding in the picturing. If you are too aggressive with your cutter you can accidentally fold in the edge of the line making it hard to do a clean flare. This is used first to spread the opening back out to normal diameter so when you use the actual flaring end it will come out smooth and seat nicely on its mating surface. It’s a compact lit that does something like 1/8” - 5/8” lines and it worked out perfectly for my needs and if you just wanna have your own and know you’ll only use it a handful of times then I’d definitely recommend trying this set out.
