Super Knife Built to Last
The knife arrived with good protective packaging just 1 day after placing my order. Inspection of the knife revealed no flaws what so ever and the D2 steel was protected with a light coating of grease and placed in a plastic-like bag. Unlike some who found the sheath not able to hold the knife securely, mine was more than up to the task... I was really surprised to find the knife was so tightly secured that I thought that it was locked in place. It took more than considerable effort to get it out! I put it back in the sheath and found it equally difficult to remove it. Tension was simply too tight. I was able to wedge the top opening next to the top rivet to loosen the tension. Believe me, this sheath secures the knife!CONCLUSION: You can't wear it out... it will be around a long, long time. Trying to find a better quality knife under $125-$150 is not likely gonna happen.PROS: Knife is "indestructible", if properly taken care of it can easily last 100+ years; full tang construction with lanyard loop; stone wash finish protects blade from scratching; extremely durable and comfortable G10 scales with no hot spots; can definitely handle chopping chores; can be sharpened razor sharp; and comes with a very durable sheath.Outstanding overall quality. Terrific camp knife, probably one of the best there is at a super price.CONS: No jimping on the spine; too large and heavy for EDC; weight may be too much for backpacking; skinning style blade may not be best for most uses. Price is likely to go up due to demand... better order it now!

Exceptional quality
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I had to double check the country of origin after unboxing this $30 blade. This has exceptional craftsmanship with zero flaws. Out of the box this blade has the sharpest edge I have ever experienced and a D2 steel blade maintained should keep a good edge going forward. Grip is just the right amount of texture. This blade is a little large for public EDC (IYKYK) but as a daily full size work blade it should hold up well.

Outstanding Buy!
This is a quality knife for the price. D2 steel and G10 handles are a great match. The kydex sheath is nice and fits the knife snugly. You can't go wrong at this price. Buy it!

Tek lok switch could be better.
The blade itself is perfect. The sheath is great. Took off a star because of the tek lok. The switch is very loose, not giving a secure lock. So far it hasn't fallen off my belt or come loose, but it should be much more secure.

Don't question it, buy this knife.
Absolutely fantastic quality knife. I had read other reviews on Eafengrow but was skeptical of how good a $30 knife could be. Received the knife and was blown away with the build quality. Solid built and sturdy. It is a beast of a knife. Amazing edge straight out of the box. Comfortable ergonomics and feels perfect in hand. It does not have jimping on the top, however, with the grip shape and angle of the blade off the handle there is zero slip or play. The sheath is awesome and has such a snug fit that locks in place with zero play or wiggle, yet still releases the knife with ease when being deployed. This knife is an absolute steal at $30 and if it had a different name on it would easily be a $150-$200 knife. If you're looking for a good largeish fixed blade, grab this one and you will not be disappointed.Great work Eafengrow.

Buy it. The sheath is almost worth this money.
Great knife, at twice the price. The handle is comfy fory large hands, and the size and angle make it great for a skinning knife for deer and larger animals. The blade came sharp enough to field dress and quarter an animal, but if you're serious like me, it takes a scary sharp razor edge if you know what you're doing. It should be fairly weather and blood resistant; as always, keep them clean and lightly oiled. The sheath is well made and holds the knife firmly; trade-off being that it can be noisy, unless you master the thumb-assisted de-sheathing technique. All in all, it is remarkable that a knife of this quality can be made this cheaply.I can't tell you about how it batons or cuts through car hoods or how long it takes to hack a pine tree down with it, because I am a high functioning adult, and also own hatchets, axes, and machetes for such tasks. It is big enough to handle any problem I've ever encountered in mountains or jungles, anywhere, but the right size and angle for the control needed for finesse work.
