Role Development in Professional Nursing Practice

Honestly, I have no complaints about the product I got. This book is actually in really good condition with some highlights and some page bends, but no big deal; certainly better than paying, like, $70 for the new edition. It seems that it was a rental book at some point (according to the stickers all over the back) so whatevs, all good. Be sure to read about the experience I had---check feedback.Would I order from them again? Not sure yet. I might try to buy another book at one point to see if it was just a fluke. But as the old adage goes, fool me once...Would I buy used books again? yes. Absolutely. Anyone who buys the brand new editions, especially of text books, needs to send me some money because apparently they have way too much of it. Journals and periodicals should obviously be the newest editions for accuracy...but with text books (specifically this one), most of the chapters are literally identical (I checked). Not to mention that most instructors will not have you read a book cover to cover- they skip around and pick and choose which chapters, etc are important for their course.

This book is a good textbook for those entering into the nursing profession. It was required for the Intro to Nursing class at the university I attend. I wouldn't recommend purchasing this book unless you need it for class or if you need to learn philosophy and ethics behind professional nursing. Our professor told us that after the class isvover, that we would probably never need to look at this book again in our career, and I think she is right. It was a good intro to role development, but I will be sellling it after the semester is over.

I usually don't review textbooks on GP because I have to purchase, however, this book was good. It was very informative. Lots of good info to help you transition to being a more professional nurse.

I purchased this book for a college class. The writing is easy enough to follow, but I am guessing that will make little difference in the decision of most people to purchase this book since it will be the one required for the class they are taking.
