Work Great!
No, they are not the best quality but they look great for my rehearsal dinner center pieces in Maui!!Regarding the bump in the center. Stole this from another review. Dampend them down, laid them on the patio in the sun and took a rubber mallet to the center, Boom! Flatten'd em right out.

Great for my Baby shower
These were really cute at my baby shower I used them to put the plates on top the theme was tropical, some were flat and some were a bit bulky but other than that it worked out.

Disappointing
They look great in the images on the site, they do not look the same in person (see photos attached). They arrived shoved in a box that was too small so they were bent and misshapen. It would take some work if they could even be fixed. There is a large hump in the center where the straw is connected, flat bottom plates can not sit flat, they wobble. Disappointing.

Quality has gone downhill
I use these raffia pieces for crafting costumes, headpieces and decorating floats. I have bought them for years. This latest batch is terrible and I spent a lot of extra time ripping up one of the placemats so that I could re-sew and patch all the empty spots where there is no raffia. Besides the center circle being a big lump now, The stitching was broken in many places and there were lots of bald spots on at least 3/4 of the mats. Holding them up to the same placemat I bought 4 years ago, the poor quality was very noticeable. I am sure that for the folks who sew these, it is very boring work. But the cost for these has also gone up so you would think that maybe Oriental Trading could pay the sewists more to do this work? It's disappointing and I will steer away from re-ordering these now.

Quite a few came wrinkled up
These worked fine as a charger on a table scape. I liked the texture it added but many were unusable because they were super wrinkled and wouldn’t lay flat.
