C.A.P. NextGen Digital 600w/ 400w Ballast - 90/260 volt

Since everyone seems to be wanting a review from someone who has actually tried this item, I figured I'd post one. I absolutely love these ballasts, and have always gotten NextGen ballasts (I think they've always been made by CAP, too). I've gotten 6 of this exact model, and every single one of them works flawlessly right out of the box. The ignition time is fast, it has all the features you could really want or need in a digital ballast, and the cooling fans on it are very quiet. I really like that it has receptacles for any kind of reflector you could ever possibly buy. I don't like that it isn't really "dimmable", rather it has a switch to switch it from 400w to 600w. This still works perfectly for what I need it for, however. They've always been super reliable, and I'm planning on getting a few more in the coming year. Can't run MH bulbs on these, but who needs 'em anyways. For twenty bucks cheaper than the next digital 600w ballast on here, I'm always gonna keep buying the NextGens.

Product died after !! months of use . only got about 6000 of run time. will wait to see if manufacturer stands buy product. cant reach mfg and cant reach seller has 3 stickers on it saying 1 yr warranty but cant reach anyone.

The real thing I think he's referring to is name brands such as Galaxy, Hydrofarms, Quantam etc.. I've never heard of CAP ballasts either. All that matters is will it work and work well? Any reviews from someone that's actually used this product would be nice. Wasting ur time debating irrelevant things like misunderstanding a question relevant to this product like a wrongly worded question that makes sense or maybe misreading something. Product review please!?? Thanks

I'm seriously considering buying this ballast but, I would like to see a review....I'm concerned that CAP nextgen might not be as legit as the real thing...I just need a reliable 400-600 w ballast that's not loud and hot..

Has worked fine for a few months now. Have run a generic 400 mh and 600 eye super hps bulb. The fans seem a lik janky, and may not last forever, and overall it has a cheaper feel, but has been reliable and has run cool so far. For the price, definitely a great deal

Pos. The diagnostic light is flashing red indicating that it's overheating. No the ballast is not in a box or anywhere hot. Defective product

working great so far, 12 on, 12 off 7 days a week for 90 days so far, i'll edit if it does anything in the next 3 or 4 monthsupdate...15 months and still working fine.
