Must have jackplate for a Tele
Great quality, and is easy to install. The original style Tele jackplate is a horrible design. I've got 5 Teles, and it would make sense to replace all the jackplates with these. One other thing - I put this in an aftermarket Tele body, and the milling for an original style jackplate would have resulted in a very poor fit, or cracks in the finish around the lip of the plate/cup. It's a nonissue with this one, though. Also - there's those plates that are shaped like an ellipse, but they're curved, and a Tele body is usually flattened where the jack hole is. You avoid the issue of having a gap from using that style jack. Finally, there are the 'Les Paul style' plastic square jackplates that are fitted with 4 screws at the corners, and it's possible to get one of those on a Tele decently, provided you take your time to get it centered over the hole, and take your time marking and drilling the holes for the 4 screws. But with this ElectroSocket, it's very quick to install it. and if you screw up with the location of your screw holes, they are hidden by the jackplate, so it's easy to correct that situation (you could just rotate the jack a bit and drill new holes if you're super lazy).

Better than original jackplate
I love a vintage look on my Fender Telecaster. Vintage tuners, vintage bridge, so why not the vintage jackplate? While I love their guitar, Leo and George were having a bad day when they came up with the vintage jackplate. Drop the guitar, bang it against something: no problem (it only increases the value as a relic). Jerk your guitar cable or jack the wrong way and nuclear melt down. No matter how much tinkering you do to the little bugger it will never be quite right again (well, it could be my mediocre guitar repair skills). Ever notice that as George and Leo continued to refine the tele into the ASAT, the vintage jackplate was nowhere to be found. Enter the Electrosocket. Easy peasy install, no tinkering and better than new. So if you are an expert luthier, don't ever bother to read this. But if like me you have the guitar repair skills of a Chimpanzee, this little gem makes an easy and secure jackplate repair.

really impressed
Really high quality, professional looking piece of hardware. It was a drop-in replacement for a far-inferior cup-style jack in a mid 00's Squier Telecaster. A Switchcraft 11 jack screwed directly into this cup without any difficulties and fit snugly. The screws were high quality and bit well. The whole upgrade took only a couple minutes; it took longer to disentangle the old, jacked up cup than it did to install this. I would definitely buy it again if I had another upgrade on one of these style jack plates.

Retrofit Tele input jack cup
Anyone who wants to upgrade your Tele cup this is it. The original design cup is ok but this is far more superior. The original can get loose which this will never do. Only thing is you will have to drill two small holes at the input point of the guitar.

Great solution for your Tele
The factory Telecaster jack is a nightmare. They work loose over the years and are a pain. This thing is a direct replacement, easy to install, and it even looks nicer. I put these on all my Teles.
