First thing's first: this is a really pretty hall tree. Yes, it's made of particle board but at this price point, that's really all you're going to find.As far as sturdiness goes, you really are going to want to attach it to the wall using the supplied screws. It's a bit wobbly otherwise.Assembly was fairly straightforward following the instructions. There were a couple of differences/errors in the instructions that you might want to be aware of when putting this together:- Step 1 should tell you to make sure that the holes in the bar are vertically - straight up and down- Step 3 uses 6 bolts instead of 4- Step 7 the bolts in this step were labeled L in my bags but E in the instructions- Step 9 has you screw only one screw into the wall per bracket but the supplied bracket has two holesI've only recently assembled this so I can't comment on overall reliability but so far, so good!

When assembling, the H screws are very fragile. I had two break and now I'm unable to finish installing two hooks because the broken screw is stuck in there. The X accent on the bottom doesn't align with the holes so I'm unable to install it.It's safe to sit on. Although, the coat section will wabble if you decide not to attach it to the wall. A lot of visitors are hesitant to sit on it.

This looks really and for the most part was easy to put together. The hooks, however, were extremely hard to get into place as there is only a shallow divet for the screws to go into so you have press really hard to get the screw into the board without a drill… this wouldn’t be a huge deal but the screws for the hooks are flimsy and broke… i had to go out and buy completely separate screws for the hooks

We were looking for something like this and found our pot of gold. It looks like the picture. Looks and feels like real furniture with quality materials and design. My wife and sister-in-law assembled it and said it was pretty easy. This makes a really good functional and aesthetic addition to a room.

I like this because it’s easy to assemble,It only take up small spaces and it’s very sturdy and safe for children.I can put my clothes and shoes on it.

Missing a lot of nuts and bolts, couldn’t assembled before Christmas smh had to go to hardware store for parts, I like the product but the frustration was too much

This product came in perfect shipped condition. I began putting it together. The instructions were clear and all tools provided. I got to step 6, attaching the hanging hooks. The "pre-drilled" holes were not fully drilled and the screws provided were weak and flimsy. The first one broke off in the "pre-drilled" hole before it was even flush with the hook. Then the second screw broke off. Mind you I wasn't even being forceful or over torqueing the screws. I went on thinking I can just fix that one hook with a drill and better screws when finished. I got to the second one and gently screwed the delicate screws in. I got them nearly flush and they freaking broke off!! Frustrated I went to the second level thinking I can just request a replacement board. One hook finally attached (it was so loose it was wiggling due to fear of tightening it and the screws breaking) and then the next one broke. So of the 7 hooks I attempted to put in 4 with only one success. Not having any miniscule screws to replace the all flimsy ones I took it all back apart and shipped the thing back. What good is a coat rack where you cannot secure the hooks??? Don't waste your time with this one or have screws on hand to place the coat hanging hooks. Thankfully the return process is easy through amazon. I was super excited to receive this and am thoroughly disappointed.

I mean it was only $95 but very disappointed in the hardware provided, screws that attach the hooks to the boards broke off with a simple twist resulting in me having to drill new holes to allow for the hooks to be hung. Very tippy make sure to attach to wall.
