I agree with reviewers who comment on the excellent directions, numbered and labeled pieces and small parts (right down to the tiniest of screws), and clear step-by-step instructions. I am a handy person but a novice furniture assembler, and one thing I learned is that you just can't go too fast if you are new to this, no matter how good the instructions are. The mistakes I made were entirely my own fault: I thought "I can whip this thing together in an hour, easy!" and zoomed along, only to discover that I put glue into the wrong hole or put a piece on backwards, or assumed that two pieces of hardware in a small bag were for the top corners of the two doors -- when in fact they were the top and bottom corners of one door. So a word to the novices out there: take it slow. Read all the directions. And don't be fooled by the folks who say it's a one-hour job: not likely unless you assemble A LOT of furniture. (It took me about 2 1/2 hours, and then another hour to move all my equipment from the old stand to the new -- so figure you're in it for the afternoon). My one complaint? Not the absence of holes for the bottom shelf (mine had two) but the virtual impossibility of separating the large black dots from their backing (these are designed to cover the cam locks). Aside from that I think this is a great piece for the money. Very solid, attractive, and perfect for my 48" flat screen, DVD, apple TV, cable box, and old VCR. And the remotes work through the glass so need to open the cabinet doors. A winner.

Everything on this is as advertised. It is very nice quality, Arrived with no damage and complete.It took me 10 minutes to get it out of the box and one hour to put together.The directions are actually very good if you take your time and follow them precisely.The only thing to watch out for are the cam bolts. The screw into a very tight hole and seem to strip fairly easily. I think there are 24 of these to put in so this took a majority of the time. So when you are doing these use the larger head Philips for extra grip, go slow and be careful. It is easy to pull and bend these so that the bolts damage the particle board. It you go slow and steady on these the rest is a breeze.Once it is together it is a really nice furniture piece. Worked perfectly for our 44" flat panel. The PS3 barely fits because of the power cords so check all your devices for size before you put the doors on. You might need to leave them off. Fortunately the doors are the very last step. Because of the size of the PS3 on the top shelf, I did not install the doors. They would not of closed. I am sure you can troubleshoot work around but there are no holes in the front of the piece so if you decide to leave the doors off it still looks very sharp and finished. I just covered the empty door holes with the provided black stickers. Looks great.

The price point was right for the quality of the unit. All the parts were nicely labeled and included in the box and for the most part the instructions were clear. It took two people about three hours of labor. There is a small gap between the doors. I think it can be fixed but the hinges were a bit tricky to install. I was surprised with the quality. For the price point I didn't expect the back of the unit to be fully covered with MDX. I will say one of the pieces was not mitred correctly but it wasn't a deal breaker. Anyway it fits the corner nicely!! Overall very satisfied with the purchase. P.S. It was worth it to pay the additional $9.99 delivery fee to have it brought into the first room of the house!!

There is always some risk involved when buying a piece of furniture online which requires total assembly. The main thing was the item was carefully packed with plenty of styrofoam and soft wrapping to protect the wood finish from getting scratched or damaged in any way. So I was really happy when I unpacked all the pieces and everything was in perfect shape.The assembly of the stand was pretty straight forward and I decided to build it a few pieces at a time over a couple of days. For the most part everything went together as shown in the instructions. The only tool I needed was a phillips head screwdriver and a pair of scissors to cut open the sealed packs which contained the little parts.The fit of each section was perfect and once the final assembly was done and the doors added on the overall look of the stand was excellent and just as I had imagined it would look in the corner of my apartment. If you don't mind building it then this is a quality product to add to your living room and place you wide screen TV on.

This is one very sturdy piece! Putting it together was quite simple by myself, even though instructions said you needed two people. The instruction diagrams were very detailed and accurate. Every part and every hardware package was labeled with a number. Even the way it was packaged was top notch. There is not a piece that is thinner than 1" even the back of the unit. An added surprise was the glass in the doors. It's tempered glass and the edges are beveled, which gives it even more of a classy look. There are two large circular openings in the back for cords and they were also lined with a black plastic piece for added stability. I have put a lot of furniture together in my 60+ years, and this one was top notch and again, great quality. I will buy anything made by Walker Edison from here on out.Maybe some of these reviews are for a different piece, because both of my shelves are plenty deep for my Hopper, receiver, tape deck (yes can't part with my cassette tape deck) and DVD player. There is a good two inches to spare on the bottom shelf and a an inch and a half extra on the top shelf.

After beginning to assemble it became clear the instructions referred to a different model of furniture. I contacted the manufacturer on their website and they emailed the correct instructions. Although correct this time they were poorly diagrammed and explained. Furthermore the cabinet seems less than sturdy. Shocking quality for the price.

Much better than I had expected for this price and "made in China". Packaging was amazing, parts and hardware extremely well identified. Assembly instructions easily understood (took me 2 hours and needed a second person for about 5 minutes). End product looks really good and high end. NOTE: the unit is a little shallow and may not accommodate older audio/video components. You may want to measure before completing the assembly. I had to cut part of the backing (thin and easily cut) in order to accommodate my older combo VHS/DVD player and receiver, which has multiple wires connected to it. Since there are doors in the front, better to not have the backing all together as to allow better ventilation and avoid over-heating of power units like amplifiers.

Very pleased with the quality of workmanship of this TV stand. Very sturdy and looks beautiful in the livingroom. Takes 2 people but if you follow the instructions, it is an easy assembly. Highly recommend!

Probably the most user friendly product I have ever put together. Manual was VERY SPECIFIC with easy to follow instructions. I put it together myself one afternoon while hubby was at work. Even got the glass doors matched up after a few hinge adjustments. Looks really good in the livingroom and does not collect the dust on the top (from our wood stove close by) like my black glass one did. Would definitely recommend this product but probably anything else sold by Walker Edison if this product was any indication of the quality/assembly.

The box was slightly damaged but the packaging was good enough that nothing was damaged. There were a few spare parts which is nice (although confusing) and the doors don't line up perfectly but are still functional just fine. Also the instructions were a bit unclear as to the 4 different lock nuts. It looks much better than the one I had and closes off the electronics and cords from our 7 month old who is now crawling. I'll be adding an Infinity Airplate T7 just to make sure things keep cool and there's plenty of space to install that.
