Sauder Carson Forge Panel Tv Stand, For TV's up to 47", Washington Cherry finish

I am loving my new tv stand by Sauder. I chose the Carson Forge Tv Stand in the Washington Cherry color. This Tv stand is great quality. I love the look of the wood grain, it's the redish brown color with the darker blackish grain running through it. This tv stand accommodates our 60 inch flat screen tv perfectly. We have a sound bar that fits in front of it. On the first shelf which is open and no dividers we have our Xbox one, the kinect and out set top cable box all right next to each other. Below behind the glass cabinet doors are 2 adjustable shelves. We have our games and dvd;s on the left side and some gaming accessories on the right side. This is not made of real wood, but the wood grain covered particle board. Everything came pre drilled and ready to assemble. It took my hubby and myself about an hour to assemble. He's very good with this sort of stuff. Cabinets lined up well, and I love the hardware. Directions were easy to follow. I have added photo's and I have a video I will try and include of all the pieces I bought from this set. Sauder features a 5 year warranty as well. I did have some damage in shipping and I contacted Amazon and they were happy to assist me and make things right. I would highly recommend this Sauder Collection. I purchased this full price. First off, this looks so much nicer than you would expect for this amount of money. It is nice & sturdy and looks great. The assembly was easy & straight forward until it came to mounting the doors. I could have really used another pair of hands. Holding the door correctly while also working the screwdriver proved to be a challenge. I have assembled several pieces of furniture over the years so this was not my first rodeo. I am a 65 year old female and assembled this while also doing laundry. From start to finish, it took me about 3-1/2 hours. I always separate hardware first, this helps immensely. I used the styrofoam packing blocks to poked the ends of each screw/bolt/nail and this worked well for seeing what was what. I am very, very happy with this piece of furniture but I am glad I am not assembling another one today.

Ordered on Monday with free Amazon Prime shipping, it arrived on Wednesday. The packaging was reasonably sturdy, with additional cardboard brace supports (see 1st pic). Contents undamaged but I guess if a courier treated it roughly, dings would result. This Sauder Model 412921 came with an easy-to-follow 13 step assembly manual. I'm not handy but found it straightforward enough. You'll need a No.2 Phillips screwdriver and a hammer. The most fiddly part was hammering in 40 something nails to attach the flimsy back-piece to this unit. The 4 x pre-drilled holes to hang the glass doors were too small and it was impossible to get the screws in. I had to make the holes bigger, with the next size up drill-bit. This was a drag and meant that the door level can't be adjusted to be exactly straight (the screws won't bite fully). This could however be remedied with some wall plugs but I can't be bothered as it still looks OK and the doors operate fine. And for less than $130, we have a decent TV stand. It's 'clunky' but also sturdy and very practical. It'll definitely 'look' better on hardwood floors and as many other reviewers pointed out, is darker in hue than advertised. The Sony TV you see in the 2nd pic is a 46-inch flatscreen.

I recently down-sized from a big house to a small apartment, so space is at a premium. I wall-mounted my 42 " HD TV, but needed a relatively small and efficient media storage unit to go under it. I shopped around for several weeks before coming up with this choice. To start with, simply accept the fact that this is not heirloom furniture. That is simply not available at this price. However, this is really a good-looking piece of furniture, which appears considerably more expensive than it is. The design is reminiscent of mission style, and blends nicely with a few genuine antiques in the room. Assembly is straightforward and simple, requiring only a racheting screw driver and a tack hammer. The directions are adequately detailed, but read them over a couple of times before you start, and follow them exactly. (I have learned to apply this to any item of furniture which requires assembly.) Even my wife, who tends to be a pretty critical judge of aesthetics, likes the looks of this. I consider it a very good value.

The instructions are very clear and straight forward. It took my husband a little over an hour to assemble it and he's pretty handy. The tv stand is beautiful and matches our coffee table (they are the same style from the same company). It is a solid piece of furniture and is very sturdy. Well worth it!

I bought this TV Stand along with the matching Coffee Table and Side Table. They all look great. The directions were extremely easy to follow, putting it together was a piece of cake. It took me almost 2 hours to put it together because I was doing it by myself (I'm a female, not very big or strong and I had no trouble). The only thing I would note is the finish is much darker than the picture portrays, it still looks excellent though and, most importantly, looks like a very expensive piece of furniture.

I've had this TV stand for approximately two years now. It is the perfect size for my TV and looks lovely in the room. I was a 68 year old woman when I purchased it, and was able to put it together myself. I don't remember how long it took. The hardest part, but getting my old knees to obey the command to get on the floor. The TV stand is very sturdy. There are plastic tabs that go on the bottom. They are a god send for moving this cabinet on the carpet! I'm now almost 70 and can move this cabinet easily for cleaning or getting to the electrical outlet. Oh! And did I tell you it looks absolutely beautiful!!

This is an OK TV stand for the price. It is a little involved to put together, but all the parts were correct, holes in the right places, and the instructions were clear. My complaint is that there is not a solid wood piece in the unit. I probably should have guessed that from the price. The back is actually pressboard that is almost like stiff cardboard. The main problem for me is that it LOOKs like veneered particle board, and the veneer pattern itself looks like what you would find on cheap wood paneling, and isn't convincing as pretending to be "wood". This may not bother others, but it was a disappointment to me.

Nice and sturdy. Easy to put together. Nice quality for the price.
