Dyson Genuine DC40 Upright Vacuum Cleaner Change Over Valve Hose, Grey

Good price; seems to be OEM part. Fit just fine and brought the DC40 vacuum back to life. Took a bit of time to install and this vacuum design does not make it too easy but it was possible. Time will tell how long it lasts. Thank you.

Works great and serves as a cheap DIY fix on my Dyson Bally vacuum! It’s durable but yet sufficiently flexible, easy to install, and fits perfectly!

Item was great. But the product looks very very similar to a the next Dyson model. Until and unless I tried it and failed to install it.. I had not realized that this is a very similar looking but incorrect part that I was working with. Be careful when purchasing. Read and match the model numbers before you purchase. It would be nice if the seller has some "BEWARE" notes.. so a buyer is aware.

It works perfectly. Be sure to watch some videos and keep track of which screw goes where. There are a bunch of fiddley steps but on-line videos made the disassembly and reassembly fairly easy. You can fix almost any Dyson with a little help from youtube.

Ordered on 12th Feb and received today here in sunny Singapore, so proceeded to change it out . Once a few torx screws and clip come out you can replace this easily. 10 year old Dyson DC40 Animal did it's job perfectly as I vacuumed the house today. Wife is happy that the floor and carpet is clean after nearly 1 week. Happy wife, happy life.
