This is a great sturdy lamp. The finish is fine. This is a replica, not a $1,500 lamp. For the money it is surprisingly nice. The flecks on the paint do not bother me and aren't as noticeable as in close up pictures. I've never gotten 2 inches from a lamp and inspected, so I don't understand the scrutiny over a finish. The color is not at all "odd" to me and it looks pretty cool. I've spent a year with this lamp in my wish list, looking for a real refurbished lamp. Those cost a fortune and I'm happy I finally decided to get the short lamp and the tall lamp. I'm one of the most picky people on the planet and I don't see a problem with these lamps.

Since 2014, they are turned on every single night on the corners of my entertainment center, and I have never even had to change a lightbulb. They are flawless in their design the craftsmanship that is sturdiness perfect a bit difficult to dust, but I found taking the top off, sitting in my bathtub and giving it a good spraying does the trick.

I purchased this floor lamp back in January 2020 (now September) and was drawn to the design and purported construction of the lamp. Franklin Iron Works... One might assume that the floor lamp is indeed IRON. Fast forward to today, the lamp has broken through the base that it is attached to, as the base cover is made of... you guessed it... plastic! It appears that the stress of having a heavy lamp sitting on the plastic had caused some stress fractures, ultimately resulting in the base crumbling apart. Spent several hours looking online for the company to see if they offer any kind of warranty support, but alas, I can't find a manufacturer website. For the price, one might expect the product to last longer than a mere 8 months. Needless to say, between the poor quality of design, breaking down within 8 months, and lack of customer support, I would not recommend this product.

If you have small children there’s no worry with this lamp that they will knock it over. It’s heavy and sturdy and awesome! I have mine behind my couch in front of my window and it lights up the outside. If you’re looking for a bright lamp with all the qualities I just explained, this is the lamp for you!I was so excited to get it and even though it was a little more expensive than I wanted to pay, it was worth every penny!

...it is not very well built, nor is it sturdy. Overall, it is a nice floor lamp that is a conversation piece, but it is priced too high for the quality.

I am not sure why others have given this a good review. The lamp is made is china and of poor quality - it is heavy, but also does not sit straight on the base (it leans about 5 degrees), the color is a puke brown with black speckles all over it to try and give it a worn look, but fails miserably. The cage-brown and the puke-base-brown do not match. Honestly, it does not look like anything like the picture. I have been trying to return this over-priced ugly lamp (I can honestly say I would pay to NOT have this in my chic living space) but returning it has been an amazon/lamps-plus nightmare. You have been warned my friends. I will post detailed pictures of this ugly duckling soon. I'm really just thinking of dropping it off at good-will.

The lamp is cool and of decent quality. The finish is a fake rust with black specks over the brown paint. Not my favorite but not horrible either. The lamp overall is a good value and better than most of the crap out there.

LOVE the light! It is so unusual! Got it for an accent light for our living room. Would not recommend it for a reading light, atleast not using edison bulbs. Infact, I bought lower watt edison style bulbs so the light would not be so harsh to the eyes. Remember, there is no shade to soften the lights. As a unique conversation piece, that, with lower watt bulbs, is a great decorative light, I highly recommend. It arrived in great condition, and is a very solid, well made light. If you are looking for a reading light, I recommend you go with a different design.
