Great Value and Quality - Sharpened 7 different knives
In a Nutshell - We had a collection of dull knives - First time using a whetstone - All items in this kit were useful to sharpen my knives - Get a honing rod to finish it - The angle aid will scratch your knives. What you need to know - It took 3 tries to learn how to use the whetstone. First 2, my test knife was worse than when I first started. If it’s not getting sharper, it may be you. - The angle aid is useful, but it’s a fixed angle and some knives require sharpening at a different angle . Also, it will scratch your knives - I watched like 4 different YouTube videos on sharpening using a whetstone. Best one was from some Cooks Edge. I’m not promoting, but I feel he was the only the explained all the whole “getting the burr” thing the best. - I was able to sharpen with great success 7/8 different knives with the stones. I used the 8000 grit only on my Japanese shun knife. I didn’t go higher than 3000 on the rest. - The 1 knife (1st from left) that I cannot consider a success is sharper, but it was so hard to get the burr and even after I did it, it definitely doesn’t compare to the rest. I think it’s the knife, not me lol. - Last, if it’s your first time, like me, it will take you about 45-60 minutes to sharpen one, call it not being sure if I have a burr, but after that I was able to do my other knives in 20 min.

Worked really well, stone leveler was a plus.
The stones need to be soaked, just like any other whetstone, and they worked really well. Just 10-15 strokes for either edge on both sides of the higher grit stones sharpened my kitchen knives right up. The strop comes with a hook and handle for ease of use, and the slurry maker and blade leveler is really nice to have in included in the package. I won't use the holder on principle, but it's the right angle for all-purpose sharpening. A great all-in one sharpening kit.

Complete setup for great results
Nice kit with complete set of stones to sharpen everything . If your blade is badly chipped you will need someth8ng with a courser grit to get it to a place where it will sharpen the whole blade .

Very happy with this
Not unlike a few people I know, I have a set of kitchen knives that cost a little bit more money than most people would spend on a set of kitchen knives. My personal choice is the henkel's professional S series. Excellent knives, but as with any kitchen knife, they do occasionally need to be sharpened. I've never typically done this myself... I always either stop by a knife shop somewhere or sometimes kitchen supply places will sharpen your knives, or the last time I had it done I found a guy online and I mailed a couple of them out to him and he sent them right back and they were really sharp again just like brand new. But that does cost money every time so honestly I watched a couple of videos on YouTube about how to sharpen knives. Those of you that are reading this that know how to sharpen knives maybe thinking well it's not that hard, and you're right it isn't but if you've never done it before you don't know. So for anybody that's reading this has never done it before, seriously it's not that hard. So to that end, I bought these sharpening stones. They came with really good instructions plus the YouTube video that I watched, I grabbed my favorite chef's knife and honestly I figured if I screwed it up I could still send it out and get it fixed but about 6 minutes later I had my knife as sharp as it was the day I bought it. Kind of like a brand new razor blade with a big handle on it. With this new confidence I sharpened the rest of my set. I haven't tried it yet on the scissors however when they need sharpening I'm sure this will do the trick. For the money I could have paid to have my entire set sharpened professionally, I bought this and had money left over. 100% well worth the bridge just like and like I said if you're not really sure how to sharpen a knife, if you haven't done it before, don't be scared of the process. I had never done it myself and with the right tools, you're all set.

Perfect for Sharp Knives, Happy Cooks!
I bought this knife sharpening set for my husband, and I’m so glad I did! All the knives in our kitchen are now perfectly sharp, which makes meal prep so much easier. He really likes how simple it is to use, and the different grit options make it versatile for any blade. Whether it's our chef’s knife or smaller paring knives, they all come out razor-sharp. The instructions are clear, and the quality feels premium. If you’re looking for a reliable whetstone that gives great results, this set is great!
