Great book for those looking to go to college. This will give you a general overview on how to be successful in the academic world. Been watching the writer on YouTube for over a decade and his advice helped me get through my college studies.

First off, my review here probably does not matter, given how highly rated this book already is on Amazon by hundreds of other satisfied students, etc. like us. However, that won’t stop me from raving about this book! I definitely recommend to all current college students, incoming college students, and even high schoolers who want to 1) improve their grades 2) increase their chances of success, even outside of school, and 3) SPEND LESS TIME STUDYING! If you want to learn to be efficient while studying, even taking 1 or 2 tips from him (out of the 10 fantastic tips he gives) will give you a HUGE advantage over other students who have not been exposed to this material.On top of this, the book is a breeze to read. The true voice of Thomas Frank (a credible source from his YouTube and blogging career) comes out in his humor and detailed tips & tricks. While sometimes an author seems like he is trying too hard to be relatable to the college-student audience by cracking bad jokes and wasting our valuable time, Frank does an excellent job integrating the humor into the commentary, making it a fluid transition from idea to the next.Overall, this book is an entertaining and, above all else, IMMEDIATELY PRACTICAL guide to succeeding while requiring less time and energy. The book is written so that you can either read through the full book in just a few pickups, or you can repeatedly reference the book as you’d like. Of course, these options are not mutually exclusive — it’s easily manageable to do both!Again, I EASILY saw how this book places among the absolute top-rated books on this subject. If you STILL have any hesitations: from an incoming college student looking to hack his way to a fantastic grade and experience, BUY THIS BOOK!!!

I purchased this product to use in teaching my high school Study Skills students. Thomas has a well thought out process of delivery and is enthusiastic in his writing that is infectious to students who are struggling. I pair these chapter lessons with his YouTube videos. It's been the best support material I have found. Thomas Frank is highly motivated and deliberate in his message.

very handy book

This is it! One of best books for college students. I just discovered it two weeks before my son started his freshman year. I would recommend that a high school junior or senior start implementing some of the practices discussed in the book. They will hit the ground running. The advice is very practical. The recommendations in this book come from research and experience. Mr. Frank has done his research into learning and procrastination and he shares the results of his labors with the reader. From his personal accounts, you can tell that he followed his own advice during his college education. The book gives recommendations for helpful apps-both iOS and Android apps. Anyone who advises a student to use Evernote knows what he is talking about. The book's aim is to reduce the "friction" in getting your work done so that you can do some of the important nonacademic activities of college: exercising, socializing, participating in organizations, etc.Mr. Frank wants to write an entire book about procrastination. I will purchase it.

My college experience has not been so great. I just started my second year in college and reading this book helped me to get ideas on how I can make my college life better from this point on. I truly believe that anyone can have a better college experience if they effectively use the steps Thomas Frank provided in his book. These steps not only help you to achieve better grades, but also help you to become more skillful and organized in your everyday life. If you want to read a book about how you can improve your academics, then i recommend you read this book. It was very helpful! I plan to use tips from this book and change the way I deal with my academics and hope for a better and successful journey throughout my educational career.

Pros: This little book is packed full of great suggestions for apps and authors. I learned a lot along the way as well. I particularly liked the discussion on taking notes. I’ve never been big on note taking, but now I see the benefits of it. I’m glad I purchased it and will reread because I feel like I missed something. The book is that good and you will learn something new every time.Cons: several of the apps mentioned are subscription based. These drive me nuts and can be costly in the long run. If you’re particular about hidden fees, then look carefully before purchasing. Overall, a good authored book.

Very good read for this interested in this genre and would like further information on this topic. The author expresses themselves very well throughout this literature. I would recommend this book to those who like to have a better understanding or those who already have an appreciation of this and would like to immerse themselves more on this topic. Highly recommend this book / author and seller. Shipping and handling arrived new and without defects and well presented packaging.

Livro otimo, canal no youtube otimo.Livro incrivel sobre tecnicas de como se tornar um aluno melhor, desde memorização até estudo em grupo (como descrito na descrição da Amazon) bem fluido e com uma linguagem "universitaria" construido de maneira clean e sucinta fazendo o leitor sentir que todos os assuntos foram "cumpridos" ou não sentindo que precisavam de mais informação ou exemplos.O inglês não é tão complicado o autor não tem com objetivo usar palavras ou construções de dificil compreensao.Super recomendo.
